no you are right, if you hovered over it it said it was not implimented in this beta, but i bet it will be working at some point when the game is live.

i am very new to the guild but i think we should not change servers until it becomes a major problem. maybe just name a secondary server so that if the yak's server is full when a person goes to create a guild character they can make one on the backup to play, and then when yak's becomes joinable they can go there. i do think by launch they will have optimized servers even more and we hsouldn't have much problem unless you try ti join at the major chokepoints of server busy times.

so did anyone spend money in the gem store?

i just read about a cow finisher that was available, and i am going to try and find a youtube video of it, i guess there are a bunch of them. since there is no monthly fee i might drop 5-10 bucks once to check something out.

what do you guys think?

for me it will be to create the 5 characters i want trying ot get names i like, since i do not have GW1 to reserve, and some of the names were already gone when i got to playing the BWE3 so....

then when i get IN game, i will probly do PVE for a while unless some cool stuff is happening in WvW and i am able to join in that fun. i just hope people will want to group more or play together :)

played each profession to lvl 11 (and a couple further) trying to figure out which one i want to play for my 5 character slots and which to main. i also played each race to check em out, but skipped all story stuff. i think my favorit races were asura, human, and norn, and only norn for the area and quests, some of their events were the coolest, the look of the race i couldn't care less about.

my 5 professions i liked are:

Guardian with greatsword and sword main focus or maybe torch second.

Theif with shortbow and dagger main pistol second.

Warrior with greatsword and sworn main axe second, with rifle as ranged backup, warhorn for the speed burst skill.

Elementalist with staff and septer main dagger second.

Ranger with longbow and either greatsword or axe main warhorn second (can't decide on second swap).

i think i am leaning toward theif, guardian, or ranger as the main first character but really am not sure yet.

hopefully when the game goes live we will have a lot of guild thngs going on, dungeon runs or WvW specific stuff? maybe it's been talked about and i just haven't read it yet.

hello all, silentdante (cory) here, coming over from finding the podcast, enjoying the hell out of it, and wanting to join the guild! I plaed a bit of guild wars 1 but not in a long while. i played WoW for quite a long time, ultima online, everquest, anarchy online, star wars galaxies, star wars old republic, and rift. i wouldn't say i am a huge MMO player even though i have played a lot of them, i'm more of a systems fan and i enjoy seeing what each new mmo brings to the fold be it storyline, mechanics, or just social aspects. i recently found a lot of coverage on guild wars 2 and thought it looks like a great game. i have had friends/guild to play these types of games with in the past, but they are MAJOR star wars nerds and i don't think they will stop playing the old republic any time soon, where for me that game is boring, very very boring. while looking to change the mmo game i play i found the podcast and really enjoyed it and have felt like i might fit in with the community of the lincoln force. i often have a playstill of playing a LOT at first, getting burnt out, then coming back in a more controled way after a break, haha. i do not work and often find myself playing at odd hours, and have found servers very barren because of this before, but it looks like the oceanic/eu people will also be on this server with us so i might end up playing with them more often.

i also tend to ramble on, so if there is need, feel free to tell me to chut up at any time! other then games my interests are pretty much anything based on imagination, be it books, comics, movies, tv, theater, music and on and on. i am a fan of OOC talk while questing but also playing a character when the moment hits, and am not afraid to say what i think when it comes to all topics that might come up in a guild chat. for this beta weekend (3rd) i', going to start out by firguring out which profession i want to play in the main, game, then checking out WvWvW. i wold say i am a PVE person first, i thinkt he most enjoyment i get out of an mmo is leveling up and seeing the world/quests. but i am also competative so the world versus pvp sounds very cool to me, and not so much structured pvp, but who knows.

wow thats a book to read, sorry.... i'll shut up now, and thanks for having and sharing htis community, i cannot wait for the weekend and game launch, lets have some fun out there!

hello, listen to the podcast and decided i want to be a part of the guild if thats ok with everyone. This will be my first beta weekend, but i plan on playing a lot right from the moment it starts on friday. A break for batman viewing and then play some more, haha!

EDIT: oh i am interested in WVW and PVE mostly, though learning the game and figuring out which profession i want to play is first priority.
