Unless a game really sucks me in, or I really try to, I never finish a game. I tend to play games in large chunks (ie play a ton of one game over a weekend) and then never touch them again. I have little time during the week to play games, and I find that after a week has past, I've lost intrest in the game. The worst was Final Fantasy XIII, where I got to the last boss (which is total bullshit btw) couldn't kill it, turned off the system with the intention of wrapping up the boss the next day and never played it again...
I prefer buying my own music instead of putting money down the drain, thank you very much. I like the idea of streaming movies on Netflix, but I listen to a song way more times than I watch a movie so paying to stream music is not the same for me.
What? I think you might be misunderstanding the service spotify provides. It lets you stream their enormous library of music to your computer without having to purchase it first. I don't understand your complaints.
It really depends on how you discover music. Music that I really like I still purchase, but I use Spotify to try new things out. If I hear a hear of a new album\band that I think I might like, I'll listen to it a few times on Spotify, and if I really like it, I'll buy it. If not, I can still leave it in a Spotify playlist and listen to it every so often.
Already have zune pass, love that to death but im guessing this is similar?
Yes, except you can't sync music with your zune, only iDevices.
However, if you pay the $10\mo for the Premium version, you can stream on your phone, so that more or less made my Zune's obsolete since I now had all of my music on my phone.
I used to really like Zune Pass, but it seems like every time I would sync my zune, a couple of albums would no longer be syncable (zune would say it no longer had the rights to play them). I would be able to readd some of them to my collection via the marketplace but that became a pain in the ass to keep doing everytime I synced my devices. Giving Spotify a try to see if that works better for me.
Btw, if anyone needs an invite to the free service, let me know.
Pretty sure I've posted in one of these threads before (hopefully not somewhere in this post) but I found Giant Bomb from Tested. I used to listen to the Maximum PC No BS Podcast back when Will Smith was EIC over there and I followed him and Norm over to Tested. Then I started to look at the Whiskey family of sites and fell in love.
I followed Will and Norm from Max PC to Tested, then saw that it was just one of several sites under Whiskey Media. Checked out Giant Bomb and fell in love :) Amazed I never found this site before then...
