Also, my weird games I think no one played that I was way into were Total Distortion and, another game by the same developer, Spaceship Warlock, which is a point and click space opera in the same weird style in many ways.

I really want @vinny to play that on the site after seeing how into Total Distortion they got.

I will never understand the people here they get annoyed when the site talks a lot about the games they enjoy. I'm always happy when they're enjoying games because most of the time games are just "fine" to them. I don't like Red Dead but I loved hearing them all talk about it last year.

It's a shame because I love that kind of in depth talk. There was at least for a while, an attitude of "lets save it for game of the year" but that is such a mess.

Personally I think it'd be cool if they did a lot more spoilercast type podcasts.

The ear taking/selling part has historical basis. It occurred with scalps.

I called this in the comments a year ago! This title had a LOT of gaming sites dog piling on it (including all GB staffers), but in every developer video/E3 play-through I saw, it looked just. Fine. Not the first time the boys have hacked on a game with very little information, and ended up being off base. Anyhow, I'm stoked...seems fun, definitely picking it up.

Funnily enough Vinny and the others are really down on this game on this week's Beastcast, gave me whiplash.

Turns out we were the real freakers all along.

(I think Vinny tried to really give it a fair shot since it got bagged on so much up to release)

The Witcher 3 did all the track pad PS4 stuff they were talking about years ago now... GB still misses all the influence of that game by kind of acting like it never happend as a group. you think Vinny would remember at least...

I've pretty much concluded that at this point my big issues with the design probably aren't going to be fixed. Everything is still too big, the carousels are awkward to use on desktop, there's a weird use of empty space, and everything just feels a bit janky.

Yep. Unfortunate just about every long time user I see on here feels this way and the response it gets is like we just don't get it or something.

Turns out there are tons of other sites to compare out there design wise and this new GB is one of the worst.

@sparky_buzzsaw: you aren't alone and it's reasonable to make the complaints. Doesn't seem like anyone will listen though. The vision behind the design team is very confusing. I also don't like complaining or going on about it either but people pay for this site.

Thank god for QLcrew.com

Running does suck.

I can't possibly recommend people get into jump rope enough. It's a great workout for your whole legs and your core muscle wise, great for endurance, great for balance, SO much easier on your body than running especially on cement streets and things. You also don't have to go much of anywhere to do it besides any open area at the gym or a park or your driveway. I do know some people that do it in their apartment even but not something I've done lol.

Give it a try if you need cardio and more and hate running. I did and always recommend it to others because it's been so much more rewarding for me than running and given me better results with much less time or effort spent. You can put in 20-30 minutes consistently and get really good results.

The old games were just as puzzly and stealth as the new ones. A lot of loose talk about the series on this one that was very off. Vinny is watching Dan stumble through the completely one off tutorial that makes you shoot through a lot of it and saying how the whole series played was action and shootery but you didn't play the series...

Then Dan said disguises are an afterthought before the new games.

I don't get why they say things like that sometimes on Giant Bomb if they don't know.

I find the new games more actiony I would say because you do have lots of ways to take guys out, like throwing countless in level objects. For sure the games have not become more stealthy than they started. I would say it certainly is easier now to stealth than it used to be with such limited feedback and things.

I cannot tolerate the way that Brad refuses to ever let a negative thing be said about RDR2. His stubborn ignorance of the flaws of that game is infuriating. I like Red Dead... but it isnt perfect and there are some very disappointing moments about it. That whole most disappointing argument was honestly the worst display of constructive rhetoric I've ever seen and Brad is the worst perpetrator of it. The whole voting segment was appalling. Vinny and Dan made the most sensible dialogue and I think Jan and Jason need to be in these conversations more because they also seem to make some of the best points. Brad's ability to engage in constructive dialogue wins most disappointing.

the thing you and jeff and dan, and others, can't understand is there are people out there that don't think the game has many flaws. the gameplay is better than any open world action game, the story is great, the open world is unmatched, the pace of the game and what results from it is fantastic. The only thing I didn't like about it was the story pacing at moments and that's it.

It's the same crap jeff and dan pulled a bunch of times in this telling Brad and Alex they didn't enjoy the gameplay when they had to keep saying "actually we did" and then jeff and dan would minutes later say the same exact thing again. And then Brad told a story of how he RPed and delved into the side hunting and fishing gameplay because he was so affected by the game and felt it was what the character would do, and Jeff flipped his BS responses and said "so you were avoiding playing the story cause it's bad??" it was infuriating to listen to and very disingenuous, particularly in that moment.

Right now you're telling Brad not to argue for a game that he said blew RDR 1, his clear game of the last generation, out of the water. That's ridiculous.

This is in comparison to Jeff literally having a break down about Mario Maker a couple years ago when it sat at the top of the list unchallenged until the end and when someone suggested it wasn't GOTY, among other examples other years.

Brad is allowed to defend one of the best games he's played. Perhaps, gasp, he doesn't agree with you on the flaws.
