" I wonder if they started recording yet. Adam Boyes was suppose to be on the Bombcast but just twittered that he's at a sushi place. So, either they are all eating sushi instead of recording the Bombcast or they are going without him. I'm really hoping the latter. "
Thanks for the update, waiting for the show too, but anyone else think its crazy we can tell where a random person is somewhere like this nowadays?  Weird.

That's what I was talking about in my post.  I guess it was a thing MTV set up though.  Fooled me since I had seen Eminem do the same before (maybe that was real?  That's too bad, such good stuff)

They'd shake a lot of flak from their fanbase who eats up their games but expects the constant updates at least if they made it DLC or part of a collection.  I'm not that big of a Valve fan that way, but I just didn't think L4D had nearly enough content.  Here's to hoping, that'd be a cool move to put it in a new box game, maybe with Portal 2 or something, but you think that would have been announced already.  DLC is maybe a better bet. if it happens this is not a retail game.

Well that's your opinion, just like I have mine.  I'd personally rather play a newer fighter if there was no nostalgia involved.  That's not fair to ask because I love old fighting games like MK 2 and SF 2 and would play them, but if it wasn't something I didn't have great memories of, like say theKing of Fighters games, I'd pick the new HD one that's coming out.  Why not an old one?  It has the expected new features and probably it looks gorgeous.  Not that the game looked bad when it came out, but I'd rather play in modern quality.  If they made a new Killer Instinct and I wanted to play some Killer Instinct game, I would play the new one.

That being said, Perfect Dark remains a really good game because it's multiplayer is absolutely excellent.  All the guns and gadgets are a ton of fun and there are a crapload of options for bots, weapons, match types, everything.  There was even some awesome challenge mode that you could play co-op and go through different challenge maps against bots.  It even let you play as the enemy goons against the other player in one mode of the game.  Pretty awesome stuff.

Sure the technical aspects of it as a shooter can't match the control and graphics of games today, but that game has a lot of redeeming qualities.  I bet you could rattle off things you love about old Killer Instinct too.   I think a lot of other people feel the same way.  People are fans of Perfect Dark and Goldeneye.

"Glad to see they got Ron in there to help and a lot of the old Monkey Island guys are involved.  Don't love the game's graphical style, what did you think of it in person?  Anyways, I'm very excited.  Good write up man."
The art style looks pretty much the same in person as it does in screenshots.  However, as much as I love the Curse of Monkey Island art, for me the most important thing about MI is the jokes, and the demo was really funny.  If you remember, when MI3 came out, we were all upset about the change in art then, and we came to love it because the game was so good.  If the whole series is anything like the demo I had, we'll eventually love the new art style as well. "
I completely agree and that's why I'm still really excited anyways.  I'm sure the art style will grow on me.  It's awesome that they got all the old creative guys involved again in some way.  That was going to be my worry, that MI would come back and not be as funny as it used to be.

A lot of people loved the last Metroid games, but they didn't sell that well.  I wonder if this is just them doing something different or trying to sell some Metroid games with a change in the series that might have more broad appeal?  I'm not a fan of the Team-Ninja-shiny-Ninja-Gaiden look, but maybe that's just me.  Still the action seems at least fresh and interesting for Metroid.  I think Retro made good games but I don't think they were accessible, being a strange kind of adventure game/fps that wasn't quite like a normal shooter.  I know I aprpeciated Prime but didn't love to play it.

We'll see how it turns out.  I'm looking forward to seeing more.

If you're still arguing with someone who thinks this isn't real, it's probably not your time to argue with that person.  It's real.

The beat em' up don't hold up too well, I am well aware, but there are still plenty of people who enjoy them still.  I mean, I'll play anything where you just beat on people for a while.  I still love Streets of Rage, old TMNT games, and more current stuff like The Warriors are some of my favorite recent games.  I also still play every Dynasty Warriors game, so I'm in for the redundancy of it.

I kind of wonder if beat em up fans aren't more into just passing the time, and I think it's kind of a funny genre but I still love it.
