Outer Wilds might be the best game I've ever played, and it was a game i absolutely HATED early on, so i can't blame anyone for bouncing off but man.. i'm glad i stuck with it.
@bladededge: You don’t know what the words “open minded” mean. Please stop using them. Categorically rejecting a work because it doesn’t exclude your personal bugbears from view is what people shit on Christian fundamentalists for. It’s not “open-minded”. It’s reactionary and dogmatic to a degree that even second-wave, radical, sex-negative feminists demonstrated more nuance. “Open-minded” is how society at large describes people who are willing to listen to alternate viewpoints and experiences, even if they themselves disagree with them. Not somebody who shut off a game three minutes in because she saw a woman’s ass.
I love Disco Elysium and the most "reactionary" opinions here are this stuff.
Having played both and bounced off a bit into either i'm kindof mystified why Quantum Break is derided and Control is lauded? They seemed VERY similar to me and the discussion here didn't really help much, other than cribbing more generously from SCP foundation is helpful. Did the live-action cutscenes really drag the former a whole lot?
@porpoiseproblem: Yeah they need to play less dull "fave" games that would help. This is only really fun when they're commenting on the weird cutscenes. More FMV games is a good one.
seeing how the beast crew interacts with dan lately makes me really miss people like drew, who i felt were alot better at having a measured response to some of the things and questions dan comes with.
Yes, Jeff and Brad were arguably worse from Day 1 than anyone here but Drew was always patient. I get that it gets frustrating sometimes but come on..
