Hi everyone,

I made a level inspired by the Get on my Level series started by Ben and Dan. It is a 30 second speed run level in 3D World involving transporting bob-ombs using clear pipes to advance through the level. I would say it offers a decent challenge without being too difficult.

Hi everyone,

I’ve just uploaded a level inspired by Get on my Level:

GB’s Get on my Level: Parabellum : RS2-SGM-RSG

It is a 30 second 3D World speedrun level themed around bob-ombs, clear pipes and bullet bill launchers. I tried to make it fun with challenging elements without being too difficult.

Have fun :)

Hi Ben and Dan,

Unfortunately, my level does not contain GB as it was uploaded prior to Get on my Level. However, I can confirm that my profile in SMM2 is indeed the same as on here, SuperGary (record holder on Slice & Dice donuts from the first Get on My Level). My level below is a SMW vertical autoscrolling level using the new snow nighttime theme. It contains one checkpoint.

The Night’s Watch: N5K-X24-PXF

PS: I do not know who Super Dave is.

Hi everyone,

Here are all 10 of the levels I have currently uploaded. Just like the SMM1, I am now struggling to get any plays on my more recent handful of levels. Hopefully someone can give them a go and enjoy them, as I fear Nintendo, like the first game, will start to remove levels with few plays/likes.

The first set of levels are my attempt at creating a cohesive game using the 3D World style:

Super Gary 3D World 1-1: 4WC-XPC-BQF

Super Gary 3D World 1-2: VND-TCW-H2G

Super Gary 3D World 1-3: FCH-K22-XWF

Super Gary 3D World 1-C: 9RS-8YB-42G

Super Gary 3D World 2-1: W67-42N-87G

Super Gary 3D World 2-2: DD2-JMV-0PG

Super Gary 3D World 2-3: T26-SVW-LXG

The next set of levels use the SMW style and are more difficult and fast-paced (and need some plays):

The Night’s Watch: N5K-X24-PXF

Mad Mario: Fury Road: 5XD-GBL-S0H

Malevolent Marshlands: WPW-0M8-3QG

Despite getting little to no traffic on my levels, I just can't help keep creating more. Here is my latest speedrun level in my Kingdom Rush series of levels. This one is super tight on the timer. I haven't been able to beat it without 0 on the clock. It also ends on a cool door trick.

Back with a John Wick inspired level. Here, Mario plays the role of John Wick and sets out to avenge the death of Yoshi. This is a fast paced level based around constantly one-shotting enemies using the fire flower, much like the brilliant action of the film.

@themasterds I'm just after playing your first world and have added my comments to your world thread. I enjoyed it.

I have been still actively creating and playing Mario Maker but haven't posted anything here in a while because general interested seems to have declined in recent months. Anyway, I have been creating quite a few short speed run levels, and here is a few of my most recent that contain different types of tricks.

I'm just after playing through your first world, Avalanche Lodge. It is a nice start to your complete world, with the difficulty easy enough for a first world, but with still enough going on to keep things interesting. My favourite level of the four was 1-2 Thrift Lift. I liked the pace of that level.

Back again with a few new levels. Two of them are short, quick levels with 10 and 20 second time limits. They are the first two levels of my speed running world I added to the MakersofMario website. The world is called We Can Make The World Stop and contains all 6 of my 10/20 time limit levels.

My most recent level I uploaded has a fish/shell theme with some quick tricks. It is relatively short and contains 2 checkpoints.

@sajeelc Those are good levels for your first attempt. I have played a ton of levels (almost 6000) and I have played way worse levels than those, so it is a good start. I would try to refrain from using any troll tactics like the pipe in the ghost house that takes you back to the beginning. Luckily, I had Yoshi with me and so could get back into that pipe, but I think those sorts of things can put people off wanting to finish a level. My favourite of the three I tried was probably the castle level, it had some nice platforming. There wasn't much room though to try and dodge Bowser at the end. I will be sure to check out Battleship Wario at some point.

I recently uploaded two more levels. This first level has a 20 second timer (can be completed with 2 seconds to spare) and is a quick dash level in the SMB tileset. Here is the bookmark as well as my plathrough, my fave part involves the two shells.

This next level uses the Super Mario World tileset (my favourite) and involves some nice tricks involving springs and POW blocks. I added 2 checkpoints to this level to try and encourage people to finish it. It looks harder than it really is, it is mostly timing based.
