@devise22The Floating Isles is a nice level with some good challenge.

Back with a new level. With the introduction of pink coins I wanted to create a level based on challenge rooms. This level contains four relatively short challenges that need to be completed to receive a pink coin from each, and then get the key to finish the level. I included a double checkpoint system so that if you die during one of the challenges any pink coins you have already collected will remain, so you won't have to repeat any previous challenges again.

@theoriginalhushAbandoned Castle is a really well made and enjoyable level. I am actually currently thinking of doing a level that is sort of similar to that in terms of having challenge rooms with pink coins to collect.

@smeatbassDreams of Spring is a really nice level. You do like to add some awkward jumps :)

I recently uploaded two new levels. This first one is a super short level as it is only one jump, but it is rather tricky. It is mostly a timing thing more than anything. It currently has 1/405 clear rate.

This next level is a fast paced level with falling platforms and constant activation of POW blocks in order to clear a path. It is currently sitting at 0/253 and I think I know why by looking at the failure map. There is a tricky spring jump set up part, but it is not that hard if you see it in action.

I have had three of my levels removed from the servers. The most annoying thing about it is that you are given zero indication as to the reasons why your levels are removed. Another ridiculous thing about it is that you can't even edit your level in any way and re-upload them. After my first two levels got removed I started creating back-ups of my other levels in case any others got removed, but I found out that is also pointless because the back-up of a level that is removed cannot be uploaded in place of the removed level either. There is already a restriction on the number of levels you can upload so I see no reason to remove levels at all, with the exception of courses that have the likes of profanity in them.

@talon64 I really enjoyed your level I Want A Refund For This Flight. It was a good challenge with some nice ideas, and a neat ending with the skewers. The only thing I wasn't keen on was the randomness of the hammer bros.

@monstrouk Your level Zelda: The Key Masters is really good and is a fun platforming challenge with a nice theme.

I just recently uploaded two short trick levels. The first one is a couple of little shell tricks and involves collecting coins. I have included my platyhrough below which should hopefully help if necessary.

I have started to move away from Mario World and seeing what I can do with the NSMB mechanics. I am currently building a full level, but these are a couple of tricks that came from that involving wall jumping and springs. This level is rather tricky so hopefully the video shows how to perform the spring tricks.

@katpottz I'll check out those two levels. I think short levels are good for speed running. I can remember your Enemy Manipulation level because of the neat stuff involving the enemies. If I remember right I think I may have found an alternative or unintentional way to beat it. I would have to check it out again to remember what I did.

With the introduction of keys I wanted to see if I could make a single screen puzzle using them. Here is my effort:

I recently uploaded 2 new levels. I made these 2 levels easier than some of my previous ones that still haven't been cleared. The first level is all about using shells to advance, but these are easier shell tricks than I have previously used, and there is also a checkpoint. I have included my playthrough to help a bit with the end.

In this next level you need to take the buzzy beetle with you all the way to the end in order to proceed. He also contains a key that is required. The level is pretty easy until the last couple of parts.

@mrcraggle Thanks. The majority of my time playing games has been spent on Mario Maker since it came out so I have played it a lot.

@themasterds Yeah, I have the record for your Rayman inspired level. I think a little bit of time could be shaven off but I'll wait to see if anyone beats the current record. I have had your latest level bookmarked for a while and just haven't got around to playing it. I will check it out soon.

Here is my record strategy for @jeff's Hittin' Switches level. I really like this run because it is reminiscent of Super Mario Bros World 1-2.

With the new update to Super Mario Maker coming next week allowing you to see world records and first clears on the bookmark website I thought it might be good if anyone with a level they think is good for speed running could post it here. Or if you have any levels that still haven't been cleared then I would be willing to give them a go.

To get things started I thought I would share my world record strategy for @danryckert's If The Boo Fits.... No Boo's were harmed in the making of this video ;) There is also room for improvement as I messed up my P-switch jump, so I think around 3-5 seconds could be shaved off.

UPDATE: Here is my completion videos for The Ryckoning and The Giant Bomb Level 3: Doable!

It is possible to get to through the door 3 seconds quicker than I did in this video, so there is definitely room for improvement.

Having you collect them to access a secret area might be nice, but it depends on how good the 'secret' is or, like you say, some might find it frustrating. Unless you can somehow make them lead you to a secret exit which is either easier or cooler in some way. You can now add a mandatory boss battle to the end of each of your worlds.
