Reboot fatigue has set in for me lately, but I'm cautiously optimistic about it. As long as it's better than the back half of season 2 it can be pretty good.

Oh, Deep Silver is publishing this. They sometimes have... uh... interesting marketing ideas.

Someone on Twitter compared them to Acclaim and that was spot-fucking-on.

Resolution. If I can't make out what's happening on the screen, high framerate is worthless to me.

I don't think I've ever seen any game as jaw-droppingly beautiful and evocative as The Wind Waker. I can feel the air just by the looking at it. Even with their extremely unique art direction, I think they nailed every single visual part of the game.

Agreed. It's pretty amazing how timeless the look of Wind Waker turned out to be.

I don't believe video game rentals were ever a thing in Sweden (at least the Stockholm region), at least I've never seen any store carrying rental games in my 30 years, so I've never rented a game ever. I probably would have if it was possible around here though, depending on the pricing of course, there always was that odd thing with rental movies or even going to the cinema which was for some reason more expensive than just buying a copy of the movie on VHS, DVD or bluray, which of course meant I'd rather just buy it and watch it however many times I wanted.

They totally were. My local Videomix store had a pretty great selection of SNES, PSX and Mega Drive games. Before that there was another store that carried NES and Master System games. Videomix stopped with video game rentals in 2003 or so, and apparently threw all the PSX games in the trash. I nearly jumped over the counter and punched the manager when he told me. They could've just given me that copy of Symphony of the Night. :(

Stoners are usually pretty annyoing, but I'll take an annoying stoner over a violent drunk any day of the week.

Downloading this right now. Gonna try as soon as I get home. Team Ninja hasn't had the best track record lately, but I know they can do good stuff when they feel like it.

Just noticed that the first sentence in the marketing blurb is "Ready to die?". That's cute.

Pontiff and the city he is in. Hardest part of the game for me hands down.

And hands down the prettiest area From has ever produced. During the first couple of hours I spent there I would get distracted by the scenery while fighting the Pontiff Knights.

I'm thinking about picking this game up, cause it's pretty cheap nowadays. Did they ever fix the game breaking bugs that people complained about? I know a friend of mine encountered one where an NPC just stood walking in place and the game refused to proceed.
