As a person who never played all those WASD PC games early on, I can't handle that for movementthat needs this much flow. Had to find my Xpadder stuff and map it to a controller while keeping the mouse for aiming (I'm not completely insane).
Got to 57 seconds in my first session with that setup and once I hit 70 or so I'll retire. Without a narrative, I can only play for so long before my brain desperately wants to do something else.
Huh, not bad at all. I'd have to upgrade motherboards for the Oculus, so the Vive ends up at practically an identical price since I'm already at / above spec for that. I'll still wait until late 2016 for either to see what early software lineups are like.
I did the thing I do where I click "Giantbomb" after I turn on my browser and saw Best of Giant Bomb as an official thing. Felt so right. Gratz aplenty to @turboman
Oh my god, this podcast finally made me realize why I can't play more than 20 minutes of the witness without getting very nauseated: no reticle or crosshair on screen. I swear, I'll solve a few puzzles and have to go lay down for a few.
That hasn't happened to me in years. Worse, I've been actually sick the last few days, and the combination has made it impossible to play. I'll wait for an update now that I know what the problem is, but I'm sadly done with The Witness until then.
I like the keyboard they have on their PC - anyone know what it is? I'm in the market for some new accessories and want to see if it's not a crazy high price.
Whew, thanks Mary. Now I don't have to try and beat Downwell anymore. I can reliably get to the boss on an even halfway decent run, but holy cow does it ever wreck my business.
