It's a real shame. I love the first game and this was on the top of my most wanted for this year. Then i saw the shenanigans going on with the loot boxes and ftp mobile tactics being pushed. It dropped straight off the list, all the way down to a maybe on a steam sale 18 months from now. Vote with your wallet folks, don't support this nickel and diming.

I couldn't agree more it's why I wont be getting it also, Maybe a pre-owned copy (PS4) in a year or so or if they patch all that crap out of it which i can't see them doing, such a shame i'm a huge Tolkien fan and loved the first game.

I wonder how long it's been since Dekker has been murdered. At times it feels like you're solving a fresh murder mystery but your actual job is to figure out what's wrong with these people and how to help them.

Since it's a game, I guess that you kinda do both: Solve the murder by figuring out what's up with these people. But why would these people keep offering motives and opportunities related to the murder if it's still fresh?

The angel of death lady seems pretty cavalier about her nickname, the fact that she dislikes meds and that death is not a terrible thing compared to the state that they're in at the end of their lives. If there was a murder investigation going on, i would not expect the suspect to be so open on the first appointment. That also makes me think that she's innocent because it wouldn't be much of a surprise if she turned out to be the murderer.

Dr. Becker is a fine series.

One of the Patients did the murder your job is to find out which one it is, As for how long had the murder taken place it's about a week or so, also the game picks the Murderer at random.

I swear I've seen the actress playing Marianna somewhere before, but I cannot place where. She looks so familiar

100% and it's killing me.

Also: I like FMV games. This seems like not a good one.

It is a good FMV game but GBE were just asking one word questions, your a therapist you not going to get any of the patients to open up about their issues etc with just a word you need to Use proper sentences which the game did mention right at the very beginning but they Ignored it, It gets pretty interesting once you learn more about the patients and the whole Murder of DR. Dekker.

Something about Dan's criticisms of the fighting controls doesn't ring true; I think he's playing it as he wants it to control instead of just learning how it actually works? Kiryu isn't Bayonetta or something...

Yeah, seemed a bit odd - he's either getting too hung up on the heat moves, or doesn't actually like the brawler stance that much (though he used it exclusively in this episode). I really like the combat in the more recent titles; if he genuinely doesn't like it now, I'm worried about them going back to Yakuza 1/2. The older games also tended to be quite a bit more difficult in comparison, iirc.

The future games in the series are not really any more difficult there is only one fight style per character that may Suit Dan better because that's how he is trying to play this one instead of switching it up when the moment calls for it, the styles have their strengths that either Dan hasn't fully grasped or he is ignoring.

He likes to grapple and use objects a lot and that is what the Beast style is aimed at yet he prefers to use the Brawler the most which really is for one on one and building up heat quickly he should try Switching between those two styles he may find it to be a easier time if he did.

My hope is (with this being such a superhero series now) that Dom "betrays" the family because the bad guy found Giselle alive and the post-credit scene is Han alive. Because why not? Han died basically how Letty died and she was fine. And Giselle died basically how Shaw died but he maybe didn't actually die (not wanting spoilers here)? So just bring them back.

Han and Letty are not the same death, Han was trapped in his car when it exploded Letty wasn't in her car she was away from it when the guy shot the gas tank which blew her into a ditch, so no that wouldn't be a angle they could use.

Also Giselle couldn't be alive either the plane was travelling too fast and it was also off the ground she would have had too big of a impact to survive it, the plane was pretty much on the ground in flames when Shaw went threw the wind-shield of the car and out of the plane ( wont spoil but you find out Shaw's fate in the seventh movie ) so again not the same.

EDIT 3: Been meaning to mention this, but it's an important detail that you guys didn't really catch (because they flash it on screen too quickly, which you mentioned at the time) - Sagawa is listed the "Patriarch of the Sagawa Family and the Retainer to the 5th Omi Alliance Chairman." I'm not too up on the details but I believe the Omi Alliance are a larger group much like the Tojo Clan (the group Dojima's family is a subsidiary of).

Dojima is the largest clan which Kiryu was a part of, Omi Alliance is the second largest clan which Goro was a part of and wants to rejoin, both clans are part of the Tojo empire as a whole along with other smaller clans
