The difference between Fallout: New Vegas standalone and the GOTY edition is about $12 during the Steam sale, so I'm curious if the DLC is worth it. I wasn't at all fond of the Fallout 3 DLC. I'm pretty limited on funds for the summer sale, but I don't want to miss out if there is something really cool in there. If not, that's a couple of rad $5 games I could pick up instead. Thoughts?
I'm the furthest thing there is from an expert in the events surrounding the birth of a child, but damn that's a long time. Or at least sounds like it.
Also, congratulations Gary!
From what I have been told, the longer it takes the healthier (fewer complications and risk to both child and mother) the birth is. Could be bullshit, but sounds good to me.
Everyone keeps making assumptions about when the sale is going to start and then winding up entirely disappointed. HEre's a tip: assume nothing about when Valve is going to do something. Remember that Half-Life 2: Episode 3 is still not out.
Final Fantasy XI is pretty damn good, but those used to the much more dumbed down style of MMO found today will find themselves very quickly frustrated.
Dead Island. To be honest I really liked the concept and enjoyed what little of the game I played. It just didn't pull me in. I think I was expecting something closer to Fallout than Borderlands. Someone needs to get on that. A story-driven, open-world survival horror game is something I would be all over so quickly.
@Totori: What about code Veronica and all the myriad of RE games? The bad light gun ones? What about the 3Ds one?
Those are actually side stories unlike the two assassin's creed games.
What? So Wesker returning to life and subsequently becoming the primary antagonist of the Resident Evil series is just a side story? Because I am pretty sure that happened in Code: Veronica. Calling Assassin's Creed 3 the fifth entry in the series is fine, but that is not what the game is called. Therefore you are baiting people into an argument simply by using such terminology. Going that route doesn't make you rebellious or cool. It makes you look like a total moron on a public forum.
Echoing the thoughts of others in this thread, it is absolutely her time to do with as she pleases. If those games are what she enjoys then let her enjoy them. I, on the other hand, will be replaying Borderlands with the girl I am seeing in preparation for the sequel.
It's too early to say it's a hit, ToR was a hit for it's first few months...
ToR is still a hit. 1.3 million subscribers is nothing to scoff at. World of Warcraft's impossibly high subscriber count needs to stop skewing people's perception of what equals a successful online game.
