The runtime of the video kind of gives it away. Maybe there's some way you can hide it. It'd be silly to add an hour of just a black screen, but if that's what you have to do.
Saying it's aiming to be a complete game in one sitting and then calling it 'Contra - Part 01' gave it away for me, before I saw the runtime.
@ravelle: I've had it on all day in the background, watching on and off, but I still don't know... which version of which game is it? And do you know what drum kit he's using? As someone who can barely medium on drums, it's been kind of hypnotic and oddly inspiring.
Not sure about which version of the game it is but he's playing it on the Rock Band Pro Drums according to his tweet earlier.
Rock Band 4 on Xbox One. RB2 Ion drums, using an interface adapter he is borrowing from Harmonix that he said will be available to the public soon.
WOAH! HOLY SHIT! I live like a five minute drive from where this was filmed! It's called "The Secret Nuclear Bunker" and it's just a big exhibit with mannequins and stock films now - there's signs for it all around my area in Essex. I visited there like a few weeks with my girlfriend, so it's trippy as hell to see it show up in a GiantBomb video.
I was wondering if it was Kelvedon Hatch, or another decommissioned bunker somewhere else in the UK, so I looked at the press kit for this game to confirm it.
I went there something like 12 years ago, because I'd seen the Secret Nuclear Bunker road signs. Bought a brand new GameCube in Chelmsford before going home!
Brad was playing & streaming & archiving on the same PC on Monday. The framerate of the stream dropped to a slideshow quite regularly in the dungeon bit with the rotating lasers, but Brad said what he was playing wasn't experiencing any of that.
I'm 37, and in the UK. Jeff G's knowledge of computer/game systems that were released in the 1980s & 90s (and some of those that were unreleased in America) are a large reason why I started listening to the Bombcast, and why I value his opinions.
I learned the rules for 9-ball from playing Archer Maclean's Pool on the Amiga with a group of friends, and then played it in the break room at school.
You could also choose UK red/yellow or US spots/stripes for 8-ball, and would then have to remember their different rules for things like dealing with foul shots.
