Also, not to discriminate about anyone religion, but if you vote Romney, you're voting for someone who wears magic underwear. LITERALLY. Mormon's believe their UNDERWEAR is MAGIC. Do you really want someone in charge of our country that wears MAGIC UNDERWEAR? No, you don't.
Saywhatnow? I demand sources.. for my amusement.
It's called a Temple Garment. When I first heard Penn Gillette talk about them, I thought he was making shit up, or just being ignorant of some old Mormon tradition, but he was spot on. The Temple Garment is an underwear/undershirt combo that you wear at ALL times (except in the shower or swimming or whatever). It not only prevents you from wearing immodest clothing, but it protects your junk from physical temptation and evil. It's not metaphorical- it's literal.
Well after going over the wiki and a few other sources I think I get the idea now.
I don't see anyone saying they are magic, other than non-mormons. Everything I read says sacred as a matter of fact. These are 2 very different things.
So by your reasoning Jews, Catholics and Sihks have magic hats or trinkets. Muslims have magic beards and rugs. Buddhists have magic orange robes. .. .. . . You see where I am going with this right?
Most religions have items or practices that offer "protection" from what they deem to be evil. just because theirs are worn under the clothes everyone else see at any given time don't make them any different. The way I see it, they don't claim they are magic or offer any physical protection from harm like any other pair of long underwear. What it seems is that they see them as reminders of vows they took for the religion they chose. You know this is common practice for most people.. I could argue a wedding ring is even right along the same lines. Reminds person of a sworn vow, worn as a symbol to advertise one's position, and to some may even be protection from what they think is evil (infidelity, etc). Your perpetuation of a myth that does little more than make other feeble minds look further down their noses at another person they don't seem to understand..is downright sad.
I am all for making fun of things that seem funny about other cultures and such after a factual understanding is obtained on a topic, but that isn't what you did there. As you claimed in the beginning to not discriminate about someone's religion.. that is exactly what you did. Furthering a stupid myth that has no basis in common sense... Then saying a person who believes in a certain type of holy symbol is not fit to lead other people. Come on.. you can't seriously believe that shit you let dribble from your mouth lol.
Smoking crack is the enemy of logical thinking.
