Funnily enough, I picked up Red Orchestra 2 in the Steam sale and - despite the fact the graphics are not at all the main attraction of this game - it's awesome. It won't come to consoles. It would not work on consoles and it is THAT that I love so much about the PC. It can do all the games consoles can, but it extends that extra level encompassing a massive selection of games.
I completely agree. Dan has been fantastic, especially as he rarely takes himself seriously and does most things in the name of humour for our viewing pleasure. Jason comes off as incredibly balanced and sensible. At first I saw this at the price of being funny but the GOTY videos sooned dispelled that belief.
This probably won't go down well but the GOTY podcasts solidified by dislike for Drew and Patrick. Since the departure of Patrick (and inclusion of Dan) the bombcasts have been the site of balanced discussion, viewpoints and humour. Patricks re-inclusion for the GOTY podcasts highlighted his annoying tendency to dominate discussions and talk over other members of the crew. None of the other members of the crew re guilty of this in quite the same level of regularity.
Unfortunately, I simply find Drew annoying. He doesn't add much and what he does add comes off as intensely awkward and out of sync with the rest of the crew. Replace Drew with Rorie.
The rest of the crew are really great.The GOTY podcasts and videos were generally fantastic and it was great to see Dan and Jason have lead roles. Special mention must go to Brad whose DOTA themed/guinea pig video was hilarious.
Unfortunately, recently I was forced to switch to decaf. Whilst I immediately felt like a total fraud, the sheer variety and quality of decaf coffees on offer make the transition easier. it's actually quite liberating.
I've been running the game maxed out and only experienced one problem.
HBAO+. This motherfucker still has issues rendering some areas in complete darkness. The only alternative to this is SSAO that, I believe, ruins the experience.
Other than that, the game is incredibly similar to FC3....a little too similar. It got old fast.
So basically I'm considering getting Gary's mod. I'm sure this game has been played by the GB staff and I was wondering if anyone has a specific video in mind they could provide the link for.
Basically trying to get an idea for the game and would be best for it to be played and narrated by these guys.
