After Wargame Airland Battle and Red Dragon I was looking foward to Act of Agression, however, overtime I got less and less interest as more info came out and got pretty disappointed with faction design and once I could hear the Three Moves Ahead podcast of the game.
I have played Daggerfall, Oblivion and Skyrim and turn that each of them became some of the games I played and enjoyed for the longest time.
While I never finished Daggerfall I did played it over and over again, often trying new character or just exploring the world and doing the random quests. In the case of Oblivion, thanks to mods I played from the launch until Skyrim was right around the corner, now I am still playing Skyrim up (again thanks to mods) today. However to make it clear I do breaks between (like waiting new mods or some update from one of them) and I thing I did I started to do while playing Oblivion and I do now on Skyrim too, is taking screenshots and using pose mods to create some scenes with my characters (I do use a main character along some custom made companions).
One change that I noticed it that while I always liked jrpgs, since I am mostly pc player, I mainly played western rpgs (specially those more "old school"), but lately I have been enjoying jrpgs a lot more. I guess thanks to the new influx of japanese games coming to pc, even FFXIII (which while I see the problems, I kind like it) while my interess in western rpgs have been failing, save exceptions for games such The Witcher, Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls, but other, that in the past I would be certain buys: such Divinity, Pillars of Eternity, I did end not buying it at all...
Other elements that I noticed I do enjoy or look more for:
Character customization/creation
Mod support
Games with huge cast of characters (things like you often seen in jrpgs/tatical games) and focus (or at least a bit of it) on their interactions.
Playing a bit (alternating titles each day): Drakensang (A nice old school rpg), Crusader Kings II (can ´t wait for the new expansion: Old Gods), Might and Magic Heroes V, Might and Magic VII (in fact I am replaying all old Might and Magic titles, just finished again World of Xeen, which for me the highest point of the franchise).
