They've added the "You are forced to wait tens of thousands of times" mechanic to brawlers. Fun!
What would make this cool is if it were a music rhythm game that gave you some improvisation ability. Different enemies showing up would let you know different musical patterns and beats were coming, but you didn't know exactly in what order yet until they jump in to attack.
It was a perfect example of how dismissing somebody trying to teach you something can badly backfire on you. Most people will probably figure out what the crow is telling him in under 5 tries, if they just listen to the crow and not totally dismiss it.
Shadow of War was definitely my personal most disappointing, so I'm glad it got runner up. I liked the first one so much, it was totally unexpectedly good. For them to wreck the endgame so thoroughly with a money-escapable grind was just an awful bait and switch.
I was already done with Mass Effect, Need for Speed and even Star Wars Battlefront, and EA pretty much in general (unless they release a new Skate, dear god, don't screw up a new Skate)
Can you imagine what Dan is doing to his brain? He 100% completed Mario Odyssey, and then dove straight into Bubsy and Sonic Forces. Is this for some new Game Of the Year Worst Of category?
I've been really enjoying it, but I haven't gotten to having to defend anything yet, and I have to say.. that sounds bad. I love when games have open worlds and lots of things I can do whenever I want. I hate it when games force me to defend something. It's what ruined the most recent Metal Gear Solid for me.
What happens if I just don't care to defend? I just have to take it back over and the game really never ends?
