I think that just depends on the show in question and how much of the role does the actor play. Sitcoms and other shows that have little to no continuity can get away with "whoops, the character just died off-screen", but in everything more serious that would be a problem.

It's a tricky situation if your lead needs to be fired, because while other actors have done nothing bad, I also doubt many shows could afford losing the main character without losing a big portion of its viewers. Even if the fans are accepting (and that's a bif if), such a decision is usually pretty unexpected for everyone involved, and since that would require some rewriting, quality would probably suffer even if you manage to pull off some explanation or continue the story into some other direction.

Of course you could use David Lynch's trick and recast all the passed away/fired actors as teapots...

Weirdly enough, I think Joycons are my favorite. I love being able to hold my hands apart, and I loved both Wii and, to a smaller extent, Wii U's controllers for that. Aside from that DS4 feels the most comfortable. Love the cool texture on the back.

Towards the end of Wii U's life Nintendo actually decided to give a shit about MOTHER, so I would love them to finally finish it off with releasing MOTHER 3. My ultimate dream would be MOTHER trilogy where they remaster each game in MOTHER 3 style - with more fluid animations, better text scroll - while fixing some of the issues, but I doubt that would ever happen.

Metroid Prime Trilogy Remastered also seems like a good idea in preparation for Metroid Prime 4, especially since none of the games were in HD.

Also I wouldn't mind them porting other Wii U games. Don't care much for buying another copy of TMS #FE, but I would totally get another copy of The Wonderful 101 just to support it. Maybe if they do, one day my dream will come true and we'll get The Wonderful... 102? 201? Whatever.
Also I missed Mario Maker, but I'm sure they're going to release it in some form.

I think for me DKC: Tropical Freeze would be at number 1. Weirdly enough, I couldn't get into the series before Returns, but gorgeous enviroments and weirdly thought-out world (for example, no platform floats without reason - they ALWAYS have something attached to them) made me fall in love with Returns. TF has better music, and even if world 4 isn't as cool, overall levels are way better. Also I love how the final world of Tropical Freeze uses nostalgia in the right way - it reuses setpieses and some of the backgrounds from every world in Returns for each of the World 6 levels, but the levels themselves are totally unique and new.

Still, DKC Returns is at number 2.

Super Mario Bros 3 needs no introduction. It's a matter of opinion which one you prefer - 3 or World, but I think levels are a bit more varied in 3, and I enjoy both graphics and music a lot more. I also think that some "weird" one-off elements are a bit more memorable in this game than they were in World.

Shovel Knight is kind of a cheat since it's 4 games in one, but what the hell. I didn't outright love the original campaign, but the way the team made Plague Knight's campaign feel different (both in terms of gamplay and story) and completely reinvented the game with Specter Knight were outstanding. King Knight might push this one in the top 3, or maybe even put the crown on it.

Kirby's Epic Yarn is probably the only Kirby game (out of the ones I've tried, anyways) I loved, which is weird. I considered them too easy, but Epic Yarn is so extremely chill and cute, I can't help but love it. Even the maps are adorable! You get badges for completing levels, Kirby throws them somewhere on the map, and something happens. The moment one of the badges turned into an alarm clock and woke up the little bear who stretched and raised the roof of his house just enough for you to reach the door of the next level was probably the point where I knew I was in love with this game.

For some reason I couldn't get into Persona 5. I thought 3 was ok and I liked 4, but I've played them a long time ago, and I guess I just didn't have the patience for the 100-hour story with twists obvious to the player that protagonists are figuring out for dozens of hours. I also didn't like how it tried to do serious storytelling while mixing in fanservise and weird jokes. It doesn't really work when you speak against sexual abuse and dress up your sexy teens in leather and make "funny" gay characters that want to fuck a teen boy. That last one stings after Kanji was such a great character.

I think I'm just not into anime, since most jRPGs don't do it for me. Something like MOTHER or Mario RPGs are unique and humorous while most others seem extremely similar. Doesn't help that they really like being creepy.

I never got why Half-Life 2 is considered one of the best games. Played through it multiple times, never really cared much for it. What's weird is that I adore Half-Life 1, and it's not even a nostalgia thing. I guess setting and story doesn't grab me with the second one. Some things went on for too long, and I didn't really like Freeman being a cool hero and a celebrity.

Unfortunately Night in the Woods did nothing for me, but I guess I just wasn't the target audience. While some elements were cool, and I did recognize myself in some of the characters, I couldn't care enough about the story. This one I wish I liked, but alas.

If there's a hill I'm willing to die on it's that Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is bad. I loved the story, but the gameplay ruined it. Much like with Paper Mario (N64), battles are eh, and some attacks are painfully slow that you don't want to use them ever. Unlike the original Paper Mario, this one just went lazy with level design. Every chapter was a corridor with like 3 events which forced you to go all the way back to the start for a (metaphorical or not) key. Even the worst chapters of Paper Mario 1 had circular maps or even a hub in the center of all the backtracking. Super Paper Mario suffers from the same issue, but as a platformer it's at least a faster game.

Thousand Year Door is nearly unplayable due to every chapter being a corridor full of backtracking. Also Color Splash is the best Paper Mario game

Man, it's so good. I just wish it was longer and/or harder. But overall it makes me hyped for the real Bloodstained. If they nail that game's atmosphere and gameplay as much as they did with this, it's going to be an exceptional Metroidvania.

Played through the whole thing on Veteran mode. Really solid, although I don't like that almost every boss has this "fuck-you" move after you've killed them that can potentially kill you. Didn't end up being a problem for me, but I could see that being infuriating for someone else. Otherwise, it has super-tight controls, sounds great, and uses a wonderful color palette. I'll probably play through it a few more times; the level design invites at least a few replays to see all the various paths through each level.

I actually like that little detail. Reminds me of Rondo of Blood. And thankfully most of the game is really easy, so it's not like it's that much of a dealbreaker.
