So Steam you buy games on steam I bought games on steam, but I don't own games on steam I own a licence on steam and I can not trade that licence . Xbox one you will be able to buy games and you won't own them but you will own a licence to play it. What I don't see is why everyone is getting angry about Xbox one but I see no one getting angry about Steam doing the exact same thing because in my mind Microsoft and possibly Sony will just be doing the same thing that steam is doing and if you're fine with that why are you fine with Steam?

Even when you buy a game on a console [this current and previous gen's included, all the way back to the Atari] you only own a license. You never own a game you own a license to play the content stored on the disk, cart, HDD/SSD.

Many people are fine with it on Steam because the games are always on sale, the multi-player is free, then graphics are better, and you can upgrade the "console" when you choose.

At the core its not all that different. I think people [myself included] give steam a pass because: Games are cheaper [even more so during a steam sale], no fee for online play, and the games look better.

Also at least with Steam I know that if they ever go away or close up shop that there is a dead man's switch that will allow me to backup all my content. With MSFT I have no idea what happens if they turn the servers off.

Oh right and I can upgrade my console whenever I choose.

I do not see how the lack of PC demos makes a console any more attractive. On the PC games are cheaper, look better, require no fee for online play, and allow me to upgrade the hardware when I choose.

Mainly I rely on word of mouth, quicklooks and the occasional NeoGAF OT when deciding what to play next on the PC.

Have to say the new season felt super disjointed. I did however enjoy the last 3 or 4 episodes.

Free 2 day shipping on almost everything we buy is awesome. Not having to go to a store is awesome'er. Then there is the kindle library and content streaming.

Well worth it.
