    Originally Purgatory was an ark ship designed to carry agricultural animals, Purgatory was captured by the Blue Suns and is ran by Warden Kuril. In a years-long reconstruction of its interior, the Blue Suns repurposed it to hold prisoners, which they claimed was because they captured so many in their conflicts throughout the galaxy. The mercenary company claims that the operations of the ship are in full accordance with Citadel law.
     
    Commander Shepard can recruit Jack, aka Subject Zero in this location.
