    My HD 4300/4500 cannot and will not handle Rogue Legacy. 25 FPS on average (unplayable for this type of game)

    I'm looking at a GT 210 for $35. Please don't laugh, its all I can afford.

    Low framerate is actually an advantage in this game since there's so many shots to dodge and the like, but I'm running it on a 2006-2007 comp reasonably well; occasional hiccups during the Alexander fight is all but that could just be the game.

    My computer should be able to handle Rogue Legacy, but some traits like near-sighted/far-sighted and nostalgic cause some issues. I had to lower the resolution to get a constant framerate. The developers have said they're working on stability issues.

    @jasonleeson: I have a GTX540 I could sell you real cheap.

    I dunno if it is any good or not.. It came with the tower I bought but I replaced it with a GTX 660 real fast.. It did play L4D2 though.

    @spunkyhepanda: I had this issue when playing the demo on a crappier comp as well.

    @spunkyhepanda: Yeah near-sighted/far-sighted took it sub-10FPS. 'K--K-Kill me'.

    Yeah, everyone takes a some kind of performance hit on those, though I wouldn't say my game ever hit sub-10FPS.

    Still, near-sighted/far-sighted do slow the game down just enough to be noticeable. My GTS 450 isn't that old, is it? IS IT??

    It is.

    This game is out of control. I'm have an FX-8350 and HD7970, so my rig is no slouch, and I can't play this game for more than 10 minutes tops before the framerate drops like a brick.

    This on a machine that can hold a pretty solid 30FPS in Planetside 2 on High during large battles.

    @soldierg654342: Exactly. I was expecting any PCI express era graphics card for a 2D game. Fuck me, right?

    Whatever my Dell inspiron has on the mother board? :D

    I dunno. It can play most 2D games without a problem. Framerate in this is playable as long as I don't pick a guy with blur vision.

    I'm using a 4770, and there's definitely some slowdown when shit gets crazy (weirdly, it lasts for a couple of runs after that as well), but it's a consistent, non-jerky slowdown, so I actually don't really mind since it gives me a slight advantage. I have a better card, but I want to wait until I build my new machine to break it in.
