    Overview

Rulue first appeared as the primary antagonist of Madou Monogatari III. After hearing that Satan has declared Arle Nadja as his fiance, Rulue locates Arle and sends Minotauros to eliminate her. In the MSX and PC98 versions, Arle fights Minotauros as the final boss, but Rulue battles Arle herself in the Game Gear port. In all versions, Rulue eventually decides that Arle is worthy of Satan.

She is also a major character in the Puyo Puyo series, appearing as the penultimate boss in most of the Compile-made games. Rulue also stars in the two SNES entries in the Nazo Puyo series: Rulue no Roux and Rulue no Tetsuwan Hanjyouki. After the GBA Puyo Pop, she remained absent from the series until 15th Anniversary. Her attacks consist of martial arts techniques: Haganshou, Fuujinkyaku, Tekken Sensai, Hougeki Renkyaku, and Joou Ranbu.

Notably, she does not have an introductory voice clip in the arcade Puyo Puyo or any of its ports. This is likely due to the direct usage of voice clips from Madou Monogatari 1-2-3, where she served as an NPC.

Her counterpart in Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine is Robotnik's right-hand bot Scratch, while she is replaced by the mysterious Meta Knight in Kirby's Avalanche.
