Species: Fallen Elder God
In the beginning Elder Gods created the realms. Shinnok's lust for power and desire to rule Earthrealm caused his eventual fall from grace. Sadly for Shinnok, he was unable to enter the Earthrealm without the other Elder Gods being aware and directly defying the sacred rules. Thus he created a powerful amulet to weaken the dimensional barriers, and invaded Earthrealm. Near the end of the war against the Elder Gods, he came into direct conflict with Raiden, the thunder god. Hovering on the verge of victory the Elder Gods came and helped defeat Shinnok, stripping him of his amulet and Elder Gods status, banishing him to Netherrealm.
Shinnok escaped with of the help Quan Chi, and overthrew him to become the ruler of the Netherrealm with Quan Chi at his side. After invading, Earthrealm he aided Daegon in battle at the Pyramid of Argus by sending a doppelgänger to aid in defeating Blaze.
