On the Uncharted 3/Subway Promotion: It's not to sell more copies, it is certainly to get more money from Subway in the form of advertising/development costs. It was targeted to hardcore Uncharted players who might not be into the multiplayer part as much as single player. Everything from the month-long promotion carried over except for the Subway taunts and clothes. I've been playing all day, I've checked!

On platform exclusives: Sony certainly wanted more first-party exclusives rather than third-party because its easier to make back the money that way. Microsoft makes their money back from Live so they have money to hand over to third parties no problem.

anyone else having any trouble getting the bombcast from itunes ?

Outstanding episode. I really enjoyed the extended BF3 talk and am in line with the crew's viewpoints so far (10 hours into the MP with a little co-op for unlocks on the side). Nice to hear a little more about the whole horror marathon thing. Not that I need a special month for that type of unhealthy and obsessive horror watching. Anyways, I still need to listen to the rest of the Bombcast.

@deathstriker666: Wrong. Gattaca is an amazing somber piece of sci-fi. Maybe a bit too melancholy but it's great.

Also, as per the podcast pic. Trick R Treat is great too.

It's no unreal engine 3 but eternal darkness can come out looking clean if you really want it. Zelda WW is kicking around in my videos too...

I think it's pretty obvious what the deceptions are for each Drake in Uncharted 3, and it's kinda sad if you finish the game without figuring at least one out.

It took you 40 hours to play through Ocarina of Time? And Twilight Princess? What the fuck?

Why would it be hard to research how people die.. people die all the time in war and other shootings... also there are realistic dummies used in many car crashes and other simulations, just drop one of those :P

Sleep Away Camp was terrible. A friend of mine invited me over to watch them because he said they were really good, and now I will never watch movies he recommends. Made it through the first one, maybe even the second, but refused to watch any more. I remember one kill with a lawnmower I think being enjoyable, but that was it.

A lot of eye rolling moments this week.

If you want an answer to your ragdoll problems, take a good hard look at RDR and euphoria and tell me that isn't the answer.

I do feel like one of the uncool kids with my console BF3, I cant even begin to afford an upgrade to my PC to play that version, but the console version MP is no slouch, I've played 20 hours and it's still fun and intense...obviously not as much as a true Battlefield experience, god damn I miss that.

You know, from what almost everyone on the bomb-squad is saying about Arkham City story-wise, I can't help but wonder where their confusion or dismissive tone comes from. Every single "I don't understand why ___ happened" objections they've raised are explicitly addressed by the game in subtle yet clear dialogue and/or the text stories that unlock with riddles or trophies.

If they're going to dismiss Arkham City's story as "silly" or "stupid" and therefore of low quality, they might want to aim that same standard at all other games. It's not War and Peace, but I'd stack Arkham City's story up against any other video game as a prime example of story-telling and clever plotting, to say nothing of consistent characterization and tone. Maybe not the best, but easily one of the best.

I wish more online games would go the web browser route. I have loved iRacing's member site interface since I signed up. So easy and hassle free with getting in/out the game.

@Shaanyboi: A lot of Rockstar's writing is satirical, maybe you're not getting it, but I don't know. I find Rockstar's writing pretty good, the only problem is how long the game runs. The storyline always seems to run a little longer than it should.

You play as a female ion GTAV? Damn... just lost all interest.

Methinks Brad wanted Arkham City's grapple glide to be the same as Just Cause 2's. I thought it worked perfectly fine in AC. If it grapples something the other direction when you want to boost, all you gotta do is turn a bit back towards the straight line you are taking.

Oh man, thanks so much for showing me this. I seriously laughed so hard when that black guy came out of nowhere.

A note to the Giant Bomb crew: NCIS (the original, not Los Angeles) is a FANTASTIC show, probably my favorite procedural show even above the original Law & Order. WAAAAAAY better than CSI. And Mark Harmon's great in it.

Gosh, I love that show and I don't even like watching TV usually.

Yes, you go limp at the moment of death. I personally was standing about 20 feet from a guy, I was trying to help, when he was hit full force by a truck at 70 mph on I-80 just outside of F airfield. Not only was he pulled out of his shoes, and was a few inches taller when his body came to rest, but he was limp as a wet sack at impact to stop.

Granted video game rag doll is incredible exaggerated mainly because bodies tend to move too far. A lot of rag doll physics looks more like bounce blowup dolls.

I don't know why that is so surprising, those games are @#!*% long. They both have like 10 dungeons and tons of side stuff to do. If you play through either of those the first time through in much less than 35-40 hours, you are doing yourself a disservice by rushing through.

I have 100% of everything in Twilight Princess without using a guide with about 27 hours. How in the world did you spend 40 hours in the game? The side stuff didn't even turn out to be worth doing.

I always end up being surprised at how SHORT Ocarina of Time actually is when I just play the story and ignore irrelevant side stuff. Although the side stuff in that game is actually interesting and useful (like, you get a new freaking sword. Come on.) If you count the well, the ice cavern, and Ganon's castle, Ocarina has a total of 11 dungeons. Without those it's 8.
