Dunno if Jeff knows but due to some water conservation regulations some showerheads are sold with a kind of blocker to limit pressure. Manufacturers intentionally make them easy to remove. Should look into that. It's a little washer with a few holes in it. My showerhead came with instructions on how to remove it. Look up "showerhead water restrictor"

I'm pretty sure they put out the loose schedule for the games at evo. I don't remember exactly what it was but I do know DBFZ finals are on Saturday, which makes sense seeing as it takes a long time and SFV didn't end until like 4 am est last year partially due to that. Would've loved to see it back on sunday though.

I just unlocked the medium difficulty tracks In Trials Rising, and they definitely seem to be getting more challenging. I honestly really like how they throw a bunch of easy tracks at you to begin with, it lets me get used to how the mechanics of the game work (I'm relatively new to the Trials franchise, I had only played a tiny bit of Evolution before diving into this one.)

Brief correction for Ben: He referred to doing the Macarena 10 years ago. In reality, the Macarena craze was at least 22 years ago.

That Orlando on International Dr Orlando is a weird outlier with a larger menu, table service and a genuine wood fired pizza oven. At least it did a year or two ago. My hotel happened to be very near so i went out of laziness a few times.

What the hell is going on in Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee that is causing both Jan & Ben to keep getting confused lately about things in the Pokemon games that have never been true, or would ever be true in the main games as it wouldn't make much sense.

Unless I misunderstood their Trade discussion, you've always been able to trade shit to and from at will in the games. Trade Kadabra/Graveler/Haunter/Machoke to friend, have them evolve, trade back, done.

Also, while I'm thinking about it, traded pokemon don't usually let you rename them, unless you use some sort of save editor to do it, so if Ben names his Pokemon horrible things, people have to live with it.

They did announce the Sunday games for EVO 2019.

Ben is way off the mark about Soul Calibur's competitive history. If anything, it's pretty infamous because of Soul Calibur 2, which was arguably the most beloved entry in the series from the competitive scene. The EVO grand finals for Soul Calibur 2 from forever ago (I think it was 2004?) was one of the primary reasons that they implemented the anti-collusion rule. I don't recall if Soul Calibur 4 had a spot, but I know that Soul Calibur 5 definitely had one year. I'm not personally a fan of Soul Calibur 6, but it clearly has a strong enough competitive scene to have been a sure thing for at least one year at EVO.

@leraa: I'm almost definitely going to buy one of those at some point, gonna wait a bit and see what happens with the hardware though since there are different versions of the board coming to market and the core development scene still has a ways to go.

In regards to the guy potentially wearing the same shirt day after day, I have to agree with Ben, if he is not creating a disturbance with smell it is nobody's business what he wears. Perhaps more time working, less time creeping on your coworkers. To even consider intentionally spilling something on someone is beyond juvenile.

@brad: That's exactly where I'm at right now. After that UPF, I dove down the rabbit hole for several hours reading about builds and boards, looking at the github wiki and the sellers on Etsy. I'm definitely going to get one, but for now I'm listening to everyone talk about it and sort it out.

It looks fun and it's definitely a step up from my RetroPie beginnings.

It makes sense since they didn't engage with it, but I'd love to hear someone talk about how awdful the sticker sorting is. I got a sweet emblem from a lootbox and I wanted to slap it on the back of my leather jacket and I just could not find it.

Is there a way to go right to the sticker-applying interface from the lootbox? Once you back out of the loot screen, it feels like the stickers are just lost forever. I feel like I must be missing a sort-by-unlocked feature.

Edit: Also SR4 is better than Crackdown 3 and the story is a crazy love-letter to the entire series in a way that's actually touching and sincere.

I have had the same experience as Jan- I finished KH3 and was like, what the heck is going on- so I am watching the cutscences of the inbetween games and I actually think its cool.

I have always looked at limited run games, (digital only games that get a limited run put on disc for physical collectors), and never really thought there was one worth paying the extra cash for, (Firewatch was the closest I got).

There's nothing wrong with the DOA6 season pass, it's an all in one costume pack for crazy people who want EVERYTHING for some reason, everything will be available separately for those who don't.
Street Fighter 5 has £272 of dlc now, no complaints, DOA doesn't deserve as much ire as it's getting.

I get it. I'm not saying it's a good game. It has jank. It has really weird idiosyncrasies and design choices. It solves problems other games copy from the bok of proven methods in it's own weird unnecessary ways (which I love) but will make people ask wtf were they thinking. People won't understand what it is going in. Other people will be mad it's not Metal Gear (its not Metal Gear). People will bounce off it hard.

I kind of love it.

It reminds me of the first Neir in a weird way. Neir was a terrible game.

But Neir was also amazing if you could stomach it.

I bought it on a whim because the way SquareEnix was sending it out to die, coupled with just a gut vibe I was getting from it, made me have to know for myself. Also I'm dumb. Fucking 80 bucks Canadian.

I feel bad for the devs because I know it'll be universally panned and flop hard... but I'm very thankful to whoever it was thar conned SquareEnix into letting them make this weird thing where they kind of ignore convention and did whatever they wanted instead. It's got some ideas.

Honestly it's filled the space in my gaming heart that Demon Souls did back in the day. It's a game a lot of people will immediately hate because it's off in it's corner doing it's own weird things. Meanwhile I'm going to keep banging my head against it and die a zillion times until I find the perfect solution to each scenario.

Hopefully it'll find it's audience because I think it's a special little b-game that really doesn't get made anymore in a world where you're either a super safe by the numbers AAA or an indie. a PS2 game that made it to PS3 in scope and shipped on PS4. That alone is worth a look.

But I disagree with you and Ben here on it not being anyone else's business - because its WORK. Its a shared space, its a professional place (office), and he's being paid to be there and represent that company (and his co-workers). So it is his boss's, HR's, and the co-worker's business (it obviously has caused a distraction). Its not something like a tie they dont like. its not his "hang in there" poster they think is silly. Its a dirty shirt, its really odd, and it could signal something else deeper going on with the guy.

I only rant my opinion here because Ive had to talk to my new hire workers about dress codes and personal hygiene before as part of my job, and you'd be amazed how many people are just oblivious to it... What people wear to interviews these days.

I'm not a clean clothes prude - i get that we aren't wearing 3 piece suits anymore, its not Mad Men. Times are more casual than they used to be. I wear my jeans for longer than you probably should -- I did the "10 black t-shirts thing" like Jason said - but I was on a factory floor at the time and that was like my "outfit" so i didn't ruin shirts I liked; it was still a clean shirt each day.

Some places even have uniforms, so you would all have the same blue polo shirt on everyday anyway. But then you'd have more than one and rotate them.

You need to first establish for a fact this is the same shirt each day. If it is my next question as HR would be is he wearing an undershirt at least? And does that get changed (you cant know). Then I wonder are his underwear and socks clean? Is he brushing his teeth? This sounds like a dress code kind of place - this guy should be wearing a clean shirt each day, ask HR for a policy.

Jackets and shoes are not the same as a shirt, you can wear the same shoes each day as a guy. Jacket would probably need to be dry cleaned anyway. Shirt, tie, underwear, socks, and pants shouldn't just be worn all week; and shoes and belt should match. Its office 101.

Ben is young yet, and I question Ben's frame of reference being the GB office, thats not a regular office by far... it seems to be the most lax office environment Ive ever seen - so I can see why he'd say; "let the man wear whatever he wants", from his point of view as at their office they can wear any shirts including logo tees, wear hats, bring in dogs, drink alcohol at work (sometimes supplied!), have a desk full of knives and Sneak King, never clean their office space.... I'm 100% jealous to be honest. I wish i had those rules. But thats not typical.

If it is the same shirt at work all week, it isn't normal in an office, why make yourself the office pariah? In many cultures (Japan) it would even be seen as extremely disrespectful to go to work like this.

It is gross, smell or no smell, and I can see a co-working thinking its weird/gross - he said he hasn't noticed a smell, but that doesn't mean its not there (its not summer yet) -- especially if there is a dress code, or clients come into the office... Do they make you shave at this office, (clean cut or well groomed beard)? If so then id think you could just go talk to HR, maybe the guy is going through something and needs to talk anyway.

Like Jeff said, Jar Time working at home, who cares. Hanging out? Cool. All weekend? Yeah!But going into an office? Jeff or HR would 100% pull aside Brad or Vinnie if they started doing that week after week. And we would all be making comments on it in the messages. Maybe just no one else noticed yet. I think its too dismissive to say "its not your business".

We dont have all the facts to know either way. You'd have to know the office vibe for that office to know if others even care; maybe its a small start up and this is the owners brother? And there is no HR. Maybe its Duck Dynasty.

But for an average office workplace, with casual Fridays and hygiene rules, giving off the impression of not caring enough to do laundry or not going home to change is very odd and oblivious. Especially if this guy ever wants a promotion...

There is no denying that wearing same shirt everyday at least gives the impression of being dirty (and even if it doesn't smell doesn't mean it isn't actually dirty), so i could 100% see a boss saying something. What happens one week when it DOES smell or have a gross stain?

You should not ever take it into your own hands, but go to HR or a boss and see if they care. If they dont, then its not your battle to fight.

But at home? Charlie Brown, Bart Simpson, and Doug did it, so yeah, its okay sometimes :)

Dress codes are wild? I mean they literally are still a big deal most places, (fairly similar as well). Not to sound 80 years old but it is sad that that isn't just common sense for job interviews etc (Ive also seen people way over dressed for an interview as well).
As i said, i like casual myself, Id rather wear jeans myself, I waited for jeans Friday. I love the GB environment. But I understand how to dress up as well. I can tie a tie.

Goldman Sachs Lowers Dress Code

Here is a neat article that came out today in fact - now they are talking about rolling back the suit and tie dress code at Goldman Sachs, (I'm not sure if they will get to wear jeans and tee shirts). And that is awesome.
Id still point out - if this guy still wears the same t-shirt to work 5 days in a row its still odd/gross and he shouldn't be doing it. I do disagree where this author, (who also says he is also a "jeans guy"), says if people still dress nice after the code is lowered they are dicks. There is nothing wrong with looking nice or ties. I had to wear one as a teacher and i hated it, but it did look way more professional than schools where I see male teachers dressed like they are ready to go to the beach. So I might go ahead and wear shorts myself -- but that doesn't mean another guy who still wants to look professional and wears a tie is bad...

Melee had a viewership of almost 200k last year, behind only street fighter and dbfz I think. The idea that it was left out of the main lineup that includes an unreleased game is lame. If the demand and competitive scenes are still there it feels like there wasn’t a very good reason for dropping it.
