Great show

Everyone who likes Homelander/Antony Starr should watch Banshee. That show was fantastic and has some of the best fight/combat scenes on TV, probably movies as well.

Balan Wonderworld definitely looks like something that had been stuck in development hell since the early/mid-2000s and only came out now.

@aquashibby3000: I'm not too sure! Giant Bomb Unarchived would have been my answer but they haven't updated in a while. It might sadly be lost to time.

@humanity: I know it's been said a million times, but I don't think "It's a kids game" is a good excuse for something like Balan, if they were charging $10 as a babysitting timesink then maybe that'd be passable, but it sounds like the whole thing is gonna be $60. It looks pretty clear to me that the game was built with phones in mind. The one button control scheme and huge UI is a giveaway, but I reckon that the world curvature is a draw distance thing primarily.

Even young kids are pretty smart. If they're old enough to understand switching characters, then they're probably old enough to understand having different buttons to different things.

Just think of this... The Boys is a "toned down" version of the comic... let that sink in.

I also like Brightburn for a nice horror take on superheroes.

Destruction Allstars reminds me of Onrush, which I'm surprised none of them mentioned, but I think Jason was the biggest player of that on staff. I went with Xbox Series X over PS5, so I can't play it. Also like Onrush I feel like this game will prematurely die as an online multiplayer game. Or maybe it'll surprise for a while since it's one of a handful of PS5 games, and probably a majority of PS5 owners are PS+ subscribers.

@mvhvtmv: It's never a good excuse! Kids know what quality is. I think that if kids didn't care then logically everything aimed at kids would be immensely popular and successful. Tons of kids games and TV shows completely fail because kids know what's good and what's bad. They might not be able to understand it or explain why but I think it's an innate feeling. The Mario series wouldn't be as huge as it is if the games weren't amazing.
