I played the shit out of this game when I was a kid. Seeing this again brings back good memories. I really love the sounds in this game, by the way.

There's a super high-pitched whine throughout this video that makes it impossible to watch. Great.

So glad that Jeff made this video. Got many great memories from the C64-era. Bruce Lee was one of my absolute favorite games as a kid and we used to play it for hours with my cousins back in the day. Always was a big fight who got to be Bruce and who had to be the Sumo :)

Fuck yes Bruce Lee... I was pretty young when I played it, but that blue room with the moving lights on the floor was always my nightmare. At the time, the jump-kick felt really cool. I remember just hanging out on those first couple of screens and fighting the AI for fun, trying to get them to kill each other. I miss the Commodore days sometimes.

I didn't like the ending. Why all the lanterns, who were those guys that was trying to kill you? Why was the bulls freaking out?

They need to patch in a better ending.

Thanks Jeff. The Spectrum version of Bruce Lee was something I played constantly with my best friend back in the day. As others have said, so many memories. One of my "favourite" elements of the Spectrum version was Bruce Lee's equivalent of a kill-screen, well a kill-move. If you kicked the ninja out of an opening doorway on the right-hand side of the screen in one of the latter rooms the game would instantly reset. 35 completions to the boss in a row is the best I ever did.. then I kicked the ninja right where I shouldn't have.. reset.. followed by youthful swearing.

Right now these videos are my favorite thing going on Giant Bomb. Keep it up!

there was a great Zorro game in this same style. that and this might be my fav c64 games of all time.

I used to play the shit out of this on my Tandy 1000.

I find it a little ridiculous that they just named the game "Bruce Lee."

This is one of the C-64 all time greats, in my opinion. This, BARBARIAN and ZORRO were absolutely brilliant.

you can play spectrum games on http://zxspectrum.net/ it's pretty awesome.

I t was called Way of the Dragon in Europe which featured the fight against Chuck Norris in the collosium at the end, I have the uncut version on DVD great movie.

When you can't find any lanterns you know Bruce Lee was there.

Good gravy I loved this game. Not sure I ever got more than a dozen screens in at 7 years old. I think it led me to love Mega Man games as much as I did.

That's not a room full of fire at the end! It's a room full of glorious sparkling treasure!
