Old Games: Encyclopedia Bombastica: Quackshot starring Donald Duck

This was one of my favorite Genesis games as a kid. To this day I still remember and love the music of the Transylvania level. And the game really did have beautiful artwork, eg the backgrounds.

EDIT: That Big Ghost section is a SNEAKING MISSION. You're supposed to duck down and hide behind the blocks when he turns around. He won't see you and he'll just turn back around.

You can still pick up that Donald Duck Orange Juice at grocery stores in Oregon. Never tried it because of its price (it's rather spendy for orange juice).

The lack of Donald Duck knowledge disturbs me, but I was a huge DD comics collector back in my childhood.

Growing up me and my friend spent days trying to decode the "1 sun 2 moon 3 star" riddle, thinking out much more complex solutions than the one that actually is needed to make the whole thing work... this game rocks.

Cool Encyclopedia Bombastica. QuackShot seems like an interesting and ambitious title for its time. Though this video made me think of 2 questions.

One: @danryckert, knowing that you liked Goof Troop, did you ever play the Goof Troop SNES game? It was basically Legend of Zelda: The Two Swords because it did Zelda styled co-op gameplay before Four Swords, only with two player co-op instead.

Two: Was Kenshi from Mortal Kombat inspired by Maui Mallard?

Hearing two old men shitting on people being able to enjoy their time at Disney is....something?

Remember really liking this as a kid. I replayed it about 2 years ago and thought it didn't hold up all that great. Still love Maui Mallard, though.

Dan the ultimate Duck buddy

I played this game a whole lot in my early teens. Dan jumping across those invisible platforms at the end brought back some terrible flashbacks.

It's 2020, you can still find donald duck orange juice at certain stores here in southern California.
