remote play works over the internet - doesn't have to be local.

you can change the settings to use bluetooth vs internet. Wired internet is much smoother and a way better experience than Bluetooth.

I was able to online co-op a local co-op shmup with a friend. They sign in as player 1 on the console and i would connect a controller locally and play as player 2. Performance was great, we had a few situations where they were able to carry levels as i was dead.

Also, with a PS4 Pro you get 1080p 60fps remote play. Very underrated feature, but you have to refresh the connection every hour.

My Favorite Hole is definitely the good Doctor Hole from the original Metal Gears. That guy cracks me up!

Wild, my co-worker went to the Days Gone event and LOVED it.

Days Gone looks like it'll be a good zombie game in a realistic setting. Thats really enough for me

I'm sitting here listening to the Shadow of the Tomb Raider discussion and I feel like I'm the only person who really liked it. I also feel like the only person who thought Rise was the weakest one of the three. I just remember finishing it and never wanting to touch it ever again whereas I went back for much of the collectibles in the other two games.

Interesting that Dan arbitrarily decided that he can't access his PS4 via Remote Play, when that's basically the only thing it's ever done in every incarnation (Windows PC, PS3, PS4, Vita).

It is also literally the first sentence of the app description on the App Store: "Use PS4 Remote Play to access your PS4 via Wi-Fi wherever you go."

when they were talking about their favorite videos it really made me sad they really don't do that kind of work anymore, I know it takes a huge amount of effort but almost everything now is unedited twitch type streams. Understandable based on views/efforts/time but a bit sad.

Lego Ninjago was a great movie and way better than Lego Batman in every way. I highly suggest anyone that really liked the first one.

Glad to hear Alex is giving Overwatch another whirl. He and Ben should try to do a cross coast stream or something, I would absolutely love that. With all the BR games out there I still prefer the objective based model in PvP shooters.

I think Abby would like Resident Evil 7. It’s right up there with RE2 remake in that it’s the most modern game in the series that also has a lot of puzzles and exploration.

Why whenever a game receives negative coverage, do some think it's a conspiracy by game critics to ruin a game's reputation? Maybe Days Gone, to those critics, is actually bad!

yeah, you're not wrong. i understand why that type of content went away, but i'd be lying if i said it wasn't the one of the major distinguishing features of the site for me. space egypt was fucking incredible- and i do miss that wacky fuck-it-lets-try-it ambition from time to time.

GB's relentlessly pro-Hole agenda is starting to get me down.

I hope blu-ray (or some equivalent) stick around for a long time. I'd be okay with them disappearing if sites started popping up that allow you to buy and download DRM-free movies (that aren't just the Indie movies that GOG sells). Until then, I'll just keep buying the physical copies of movies and series, then ripping them to my NFS and DLNA server, and watching them across my network via Kodi and VLC.

Dan has to be acting more clueless than what he really is. With how much he's into wrestling, I'm sure he's constantly putting on a character.

It seems like the best way to enjoy "Beyond Good & Evil" anymore is via Dolphin with a custom shader that removes the black bars. The PC port of it is a bit too rough for my taste. Then again, I haven't tried the PS3 version under RPCS3 yet.
