I actually had a friend who was into the Garbage Pail Kids.
We're not friends anymore.

The primary switch your profile is on can play anytime, anywhere

The second switch your profile is on can only play the game after an online check to see if the game is currently being played by your profile.

The way I have it set up, I have my profile on my KIDS switch but they play on THEIR profiles.

I have a second switch I use with my profile on it (confusing!) and I'm able to play all my games after an online check.

The issue is the second switch needs online access to do the game check. If you have this, you're golden....

It probably gets tricky if people have bought games on their account. Basically the easy way to handle that is set up your main profile on the other person's switch. Then both people would do an online check when they start to play, but, you'd have access to each other's games.

I promise it's easier than all that sounds....

I would say both Dan and Abby usually yells during streams.

Ok ... I am from germany and the whole tipping situation in the US seems bonkers to me by default, but if you go to a bar and get a couple of beers you actually tip each individual beer? That is crazy.

Edit: This reminds me there's a taco place near me that I love to go to. They have a tip jar at the counter, but no line on the receipt to add a tip, so you have to have cash to tip which I never do and I feel like a complete asshole every time I look at the tip jar. I'm sorry taco people I would totally give you two bucks if I could.

Tipping culture is the US is wild to me. Here in Brazil pretty much the only universally agreed moment in which you should always tip is when you're at a restaurant with serving staff and the standard 10% tip is already (strongly) suggested on your bill. Other than that it's very much personal preference on when to tip.

@2headedninja: Why is it bonkers? Different parts of the world produce different cultures, including tipping culture. How is that hard to understand. No one tipping culture is right or wrong, it just is.

So here's a painful truth about tipping being so deeply rooted into some cultures: As long as it's something that's defended and people keep doing it, it will never become not necessary for the service workers to receive tips. Every fucking establishment will always keep that in their calculations as long as it's accepted by the wast majority to be a thing you should do.

@eazeapeazea: actually our tipping culture is poison because it keeps lots of service workers underpaid and out of things like insurance. This is not cultural relativism. Europeans don’t have a tipping culture because their employees actually have a social safety net.

Tactics Ogre was mentioned; it was snes game in japan, ported to PS1 for the rest of us. Remade for PSP, and it's one of the best remakes you'll ever see and one of the best srpgs ever made. The other notable aspect is the creator was also the source for the Ivalice setting and FFT itself. If Dan's this much into FE, the TO remake is certainly a must-play or at least a must-check out.

The N64 game (also snes) was Ogre Battle. Related, but a very different take on the genre.

@escapee: I'm uncertain if Dan would like Tactics Ogre but I agree that it is a fantastic game. Of the tactics games of that general era I'll take tactics ogre over FFT.

Comparing wrestling titles with lead acting roles was actually a pretty good way to explain it to non-fans. They're also pretty much plot devices to either add more stakes to a storyline or to just give a reason these wrestlers are having a match if there is no existing angle.

Ugh I've never understood how bars have a tipping priority. Then again, I'm not a US resident. How does one service job demand deserve gratuity to the levels you've described. As an aside, I've read many stories where bartenders are earning 6 figures a year. This confounds me.

For the inside/personal jokes in games, one thing I've always did in Roller Coaster Tycoon and Planet Coaster is make movie tie-in rides based on movies that are completely inappropriate for ride-theming, like Mike Figgis' The Loss of Sexual Innocence: The Ride, or Breaking the Waves: The Interactive Experience.

The biggest dismotivaton for me in Street Fighter V was the tightening up of Fight Money rewards. First, they removed FM rewards from completing single-player modes like Story, Survival, and so forth and halving of rewards from missions. All well and good, since they added event battles where you could gain lots of FM. But then they cut the rewards from missions again, this time by 80%, and reduced the potential FM gain from event battles. This on top of introducing Fighting Chance and their taxing system to gain even one costume for free. It's a shame, especially since the FM market was a draw for me.

I've spent most of my life trying to understand tipping (when/how often/how much) and it still makes me anxious whenever I pay for anything. <3 America.

@theflamingo352: I live in Korea and have visited Japan and China since moving here, and I am still overcome with a burst of anxiety every damn time I get out of a cab or leave a hotel or get my hair cut because my lizard tipping brain kicks in and I'm worried I should be tipping the person, even though all of them are not tipping cultures.

They joked about it, when Persona 5 was released, but I feel like there's good chance that Dan would actually enjoy it. Still pretty small, but large compared to the time of it's release.

Tipping is a concept I will never understand. Maybe regulate restaurants and pubs not to underpay their employees instead of me making the difference for their salary, I am not a walking money bag, eating and drinking out is expensive, let alone fucking thinking about tipping someone who is taken advantage over because of American society is just flat out broken.

@faridmon: I mean, you aren't wrong but you're also talking about a country that wants better roads but refuses to pay the taxes to build them. We habitually look to pass the buck and that includes choosing the industry over the person.
