I know it's been said to death, but video Beastcasts is literally the best thing to come from COVID.

As someone who had a work where I would work full day helping editing PJ Masks... I'm afraid to listen to this beastcast.

Working full day on this was torture...

The combat is the only redeeming feature of FF7 Remake. God knows that I can’t stand most of the things people like about that game, especially the soundtrack. I honestly think many of the re-arrangements and remixes doesn’t feel right to me. Crisis Core did it way better...

That was weird, yesterday I was considering emailing asking if they ever go back and watch funny clips from videos they made and then Vinny just so happened to answer it in this episode by mentioning "Let's watch a pro".

Somebody, I think it’s Alex, seems to be drumming fingers on their desk throughout large portions of the show. Kind of annoying to listen to.

I don't get all the hate for PAX not cancelling yet. That convention is in September. It's too soon to cancel. Even setting aside the min requirements for contracts/insurance, making a decision around 90 days before the event is more reasonable. Anything else is acting out of fear instead of facts.

Does anyone else feel like Vinny is mixed way lower than the rest of the crew in recent videos? I feel like he comes across way quieter to me. Not sure if it's on my side.

Folks, I cannot stress this too much, you should not choose a cologne or perfume that smells good. You NEED a scent that smells good on you. Your body chemistry is 50% of the peroper scent you should wear as a "daily" scent. Fragrances smell slightly different on everyone. How warm your skin is, your natural oils, the soap you use, and your own natural pheromones. Before shopping alwasy wash and use the SAME deodorant and sopa you typically use daily...and NO YOU DO NOT WANT TO NOT WEAR THEM. You, your soap, your deodorant and the fragrances you use need to work together.

Always test fragrance before you buy. Always! If there is one thing that necessitates a "high end" department store it is buying a fragrance. Second bring another person to smell the scent while they are on you. That 'someone' can be a friend, someone you are dating, or your sibling; but someone else should help you shop. Also, allow the scent you decided to sample to stay on you skin for at leats and hour before you make teh final choice. Give the fragrance and you own chemistry time to blend.

Also, Axe is not a fragrance...Axe is a cover up. Meaning it serves the same purpose as purfuem on a 90 year old woman. She is hiding terrible hygenee and smelling like a dead skunk; and your Axe is covering up your terrible "homeless teenager" funk.

Is the climbing bitrate on the recent Beastcasts intentional?

They have always been 64kbps, but they jumped up to 128 on 4/3, then 192 on 4/17.

Doesn't really matter to me but I was wondering if there was a reason for it.

It's a shame how they are severely underselling the Polymega in this episode, but I understand they do not have a ton of info.

The high initial price tag includes the ability to play Sega Saturn, Playstation, Sega CD, and TurboGrafx CD games from the start. If you tried to find these 4 consoles separately in their original form you will definitely be spending more than $400. And you can dump all your games onto the console as well!

As a retro gamer/collector I am very excited for the Polymega.

I got my Gold Armor DiY from a random villager (when they were in their house doing the whole working on something thing they do 3 times a day). The Rocket DiY is from Celeste (i believe, i still haven't gotten this one).

The scent of dads is a real thing. My father was a rig worker, and frequently worked away from home for weeks and sometimes months at a time. When he came home, the (fairly tiny) house would smell of crude oil for several days. Even today, in my thirties and over a decade after he has passed, the smell of oil is extremely comforting to me as a result of a childhood filled with that positive association.

I loved The Dirt Bike Kid growing up. The hate hurts. The hate...hurts.

@scottymofosho: Unless something has changed in the last six months that I'm unaware of, the Polymega is now no better than a modular Retron.

The original idea of hot-swappable FPGAs was maybe worth $400. As it is now? Hard pass, especially at that price.

@alanmckinnon: Fair enough. I see this as a better investment considering the fact that retro hardware fails long before the software, so that's my main standpoint. I also haven't had very good experiences with Retron myself.

Also the lack of Saturn support in the wild aside from the recent SD reader is why I'm interested in the Polymega.
