Game of the Year 2013: Day Four Recap

I fucking hate the term "Character Action", that doesn't even describe what the game is.

@dberg: Sounds like something was not set right in your video settings - if you're using your monitor's default resolution, it should be sharp.

For me, personally, it's a beautiful style - it's more modern and visually complex than LoL while being less cartoony. It's gorgeous IMO. I suck so hard at the game, but I do enjoy the visuals a LOT.

That being said, you're right about the HUD. I wish you could scale it, but that would give advantage in a game where any advantage you can get is pretty big. I think it's something Valve could downsize the HUD a bit across the board, but giving the option to customize that endangers the competitive balance.

DOTA sucks.

Has fashion really not changed since 2000, or do the GB team dress like they're from 2002 and I've only just noticed? They can't possibly be doing the 10s tomorrow because it would be exactly the same. Looking forward to what they cook up.

I don't think their idea for this year is as good as previous (why no individual list videos? Sitting on the couch seems half arsed). Yet I can't deny the level of interesting content they've given us. Everywhere else was pretty boring and mundane.

@kippers: The aughts were a lost decade that didn't really have its own "thing," plus there is only one day left. Makes sense to make this one "today"-themed so that tomorrow's episode can be future-themed where everyone's wearing an Oculus Rift.
