I'm getting similar on DogCatcher as well. Tried downloading the recent episode. Looks like it's dropping with the following error.

I know, I feel like that got overshadowed by the rest of the ideas in that email, but seriously, that's phenomenal. I read a story that there is a service in New York City that fake kidnaps you if you're that into thrills. This is a way a more fun and less terrifying and more viable idea than that.

Ditto on the DoggCatcher bug. It turns out that they're including [ and ] directly in the URL string for the latest bombcast, when those characters should be rendered as %5B and %5D in order for the URL to be valid.

I've reported this to DoggCatcher, but it turns out to be a Giant Bomb bug, and I've reported it in the bug reporting forum.

The amount of stuff Brad has stated in these podcasts that he is really convinced of, but isn't actually true is really kind of staggering.

Actually, I've looked at the RSS feed directly now, and it appears to be a DoggCatcher bug. It looks like they are decoding the %5B and %5D encoding when they parse the XML, but they are not re-encoding those characters before trying to generate a java.net.Uri object, thereby leading to major fail.

I've reported this to DoggCatcher. It wouldn't surprise me if podkicker is suffering from the same bug.

Just because something that was intended to be disgusting disgusts you doesn't mean it is good storytelling. I could easily disgust everyone in this comment section right now with some horrible images or whatever, but that wouldn't make what I did good or interesting.

I haven't played Ground Zeroes, so I don't know about the disgusting-ness of it, but I have played GTAV. The torture scene in that game made me feel uncomfortable to be honest. I didn't want to do that stuff. But at the same time, I also don't feel it's justified to say something like that isn't allowed, or the people who did appreciate it are disgusting.

That scene was meant to portray the character of Trevor and what nasty stuff he can do. Though somewhat successful, I didn't really appreciate how it was handled myself. But I wouldn't think less of someone who thought it was handled well.

Again, I have no idea if this Ground Zeroes situation is somewhat similar, but perhaps people aren't disgusting scum per se for thinking the scenes referred to do a good job of setting up the character? The stuff I read about it sounds like it's an argument of: 'That stuff is horrible in the real world, therefor you are disgusting for putting it in a game'. I realize it's a bit too easy to comment on this having not played it myself. But that's what it sounds like to me so far. I actually do intent to play Ground Zeroes, so I'll see if I feel the same way then.

@tyler1285: That's not what he said was sick (unless I've forgotten a lot of the conversation). Quiet isn't in Ground Zeroes, she's going to be in The Phantom Pain. I think Jeff was referring to the torture related things in Ground Zeroes, which, to be fair, are very unpleasant.

Brad buddy, feel free to put off finishing Dark Souls 2 on your own. I could use another GB Souls play through, going through some Brad/Vinny shenanigan withdrawals.

Does anyone have time stamps for the Ground Zeroes discussion? I really don't want to hear it.

I do not understand Jeff calling Ground Zeroes disgusting in such a serious manner. It was a bit graphic but nothing as bad as Mortal Kombat or Gears of War. What happens to the character in question is nothing new, nor was it even a gorefest.

@brad I'm pretty sure they use the Source Filmmaker for those Dota 2 close-ups in the documentary. You can pull in complete Dota and TF2 matches and toy around however you like, pretty neat stuff. It's that free software Valve use for all their cutscenes and movie clips.

That is, if I didn't completely misunderstand what you meant. I haven't finished Free-to-play yet.
