The amount of effort put into that fake NX controller was kind of disturbing.

VR, Street Fighter V and The Division are for 2016's Bombcasts what MGSV, Witcher 3 and Destiny were from 2015's.

Oh man jeff is having issues with his 2500k, i hope my 3570k will be able to handle vr, i was going to wait the couple months for broadwell e to upgrade, but damn i may have to upgrade sooner ._.

I appreciate you guys don't spend forever on VR. I do like hearing about it but I'm on VR overload right now with the two headsets launching and all.

Part of me was upset that they didn't have the Bombcast up for my commute home from work. But now that it's here I'm just stoked to have something to listen to for the drive to work! And there's the 11 hours of content to watch from yesterday.

If they're gonna keep talking about VR, and how there's no "real" games for it yet, I wish they would play Budget Cuts. It's short, but it's the first "videogame-ass videogame" I've played in VR.

I've been playing Clash Royale in an emulator (MEmu) on PC. The precision of a mouse and a large screen is quite useful.

"Skinner box" typically refers to the experiment on variable reward schedules where there is a random chance at receiving a reward based on a certain input, thereby conditioning a subject to perform an input regardless of if they are in any way rewarded. Random chests in both Dota 2 and Clash Royale absolutely 100% fit this definition, as the benefits of a purchase may be equal to or less than the cost based solely on a roll of the dice. Even if the average perceived benefit of a purchase is greater than zero, that doesn't matter in operant conditioning. In Clash Royale, the amount of time saved is constant, but the value of that time is not, since what you get in the chest affects what you do with that extra time.

Since Brad admits to not understanding this tidbit of high school psychology, it's understandable he would call accusations of "skinnerboxing" patently ridiculous, but the experiment does raise a valid point about the dangers of doing things for a chanceat an equal or greater reward rather than the reward itself.

@brad The exact wording of the statement you guys read on air said that the multiplayer for the "international version" was not enabled yet. And the trick you have to go through to get the JP version to run in English makes me think that you're basically enabling the download of the "international version", not just playing the JP version with an English translation. So I'm guessing (but can't verify) that the JP version does in fact have online enabled right now.

It's a similar technique to getting to the SMW credits in sub-2minutes, by hand.
