The amount of wrestling talk is getting to be too much. Every single podcast, quicklook, and UPF ends up having 20 minutes of wrestling. It gets annoying.

Premium version isn't showing up in Overcast. Are people seeing it in other systems?

I have to agree with them re: playing games at pax. I've been going to pax east for 4 years now and now that the spectacle of seeing a gaming convention hall show floor has worn off, I just can't get as enthused about the whole ordeal as I used to be. there were very few games I saw that I wasn't aware of before pax, and the crowds made it really hard to try out a bunch of games that I was interested in.

@tinaun: Conventions have always been bad places to play games to me. A lot of noise and people all around you, people stressing you to get done etc.

Dan's refusal to believe he lost Mario Maker Challenge is hilarious.

Going by his perception, he would still lose 1-0 with he and Patrick tying the first and third levels.

The more I hear about Pyre, the more I think it is a spruced up version of Blitzball. Which makes Jeff's positive impressions all the more baffling.

Sony aren't putting in any pennies to Shenmue's actual development. They are just helping out with marketing.

They are making it super cheaply, with a narrower scope than previous Shenmues. Also not having to build their own engine, a massive part of the cost of the original.

can't wait to hear Monster Hunter being brought up.... and then immediately dismissed and talked about like its a game ONLY for craaAAaazy people... that's one my favorite game series. its a shame that some game critics still talk about MH like it's the exact same game they tried playing in 2009 on the PSP (although, with each entry, more and more are "getting" it).... i'm just saying, the older games WERE clunky and playing with the claw on PSP was not ideal but the series has made so many refinements in the past couple of games, its just lame that a lot of game industry people still talk shit about MH as if series hasn't improved at all

I'm glad Jason finally is enjoying Dark Souls 3. I've gone full Havels every Dark Souls game and raise my equip load high enough so that I don't fat roll and I really enjoy just being a mobile tank. Using the Dragonslayer's Great Axe and it kills things good. Almost done with my NG+ playthrough. Looking forward to NG++ and getting the platinum

I think Drew's custom amibo is one of the best gifts anyone has ever made. It is fantastic.

I was wondering why I couldnt quit QB on PC

@tinaun: I had the same revelation this year at PAX East. I got in line early for Below and got to check that out, but playing an atmospheric, rouge-like game like that surrounded by booming music from adjacent booths and other convention-goers watching over your shoulder is just not ideal. I wandered through the rest of the indie-booth and had a very hard time picking out anything that really stuck out, it was a sea of pixel-art action-RPG-platformer looking games. And I'm not one to immediately poo-poo pixel art, but I just couldn't find anything to distinguish these games at a glance, and didn't feel any urge to sit in a long line just for a chance to try them. I no longer have any interest in waiting in any kind of line when I can just wait a few months, hear what's good and what is maybe not so much. The realization made me kind of sad.
