Exactly my thoughts! WiLD, Horizon, Far Cry Primal and that Crytek VR game. I'm happy that now we have games in a non-urban settings.

I'm with Dan on the quality of Halo spinoffs. Reach is awesome and ODST is meh.

It doesn't seem like this is ever going to happen but hearing that Ass Creed has modern day story stuff reignites my hope of a game set in Eden.

I totally agree. I did not have much fun with ODST.

Well sounds like the GOTY is pretty obvious with them dropping Witcher 3 like a sack of shit. Honestly I really struggle to understand their gameplay complaints with that game. The movement is much the same as any videogame and the combat is excellent. Sometimes I think they are just a bit shit at videogames.

@hayt: Or maybe they just don't really like it. That's okay too.

@hayt: I'm teetering on the edge of going back and listening to the bombcasts from around when that game came out, because I feel like Brad has increasingly retconned his own opinion of the game the further he has gotten from the last time he played it as some sort of subconscious defensive response to comment section criticism.

LOL they complained about The Witcher 3 again? That's even more childish than all the people begging them to finish the game. Love it.

@hayt: it's called personal taste. They aren't wrong for feeling the way they do and shouldn't feel pressured to feel otherwise. People need to stop waiting for GB to validate their own tastes.

@marokai: can you blame him if he did? Nobody's ever likes being badgered like that to play something.

I do agree maybe they should just stop talking about it and feeding these incessantly whiny flames. ;)

@ripelivejam: It's just very odd that no one on the team likes Witcher 3 (except maybe Jason), when it got universally praised. Meanwhile games like MGSV, Mario Maker and Destiny are royal gold and can't do nothing wrong.

Yeah and you just named three games in genres that these guys are generally way more interested in. The odd bit to me is that there was ever any real enthusiasm here for the Witcher, not that it has died away.

If you love The Witcher 3, then cool. It made a shitton of money and received near universal praise. I just don't understand why some people desperately need the GB guys to be madly in love with it too.

Ha ha ha. I don't know if that is all true, but it still seems insane to me that almost all of the guys (except for maybe Jeff) aren't going to finish one of the most well received and definite biggest games of the year.

I finished Witcher 3 in 50-some hours back in the summer, had a great time, got the good ending. I don't think I could play any more of it. XD

Our bills are water-proof.

I just hope that at the time of goty discussions they'll be quick in dismissing the witcher, since they have made their opinions known time and time again, and they'll not dwell too much on shitting on the game, just to save us from the flame threads that it would incite
