Brad's comments about the "new" stuff in Tomb raider is weird. In the previous one, you also had a little scramble instead of a roll. You would come back to an area and the time of day would be different. You buried your axe into patches of climbable surface on rocks and could jump up it if you wanted to.

I was hoping for some kind of disclosure on the Arkham Knight thing since it was tagged but I guess I expected the dodge coming from Lang based on his position and contractual stuff. It was really nice seeing that exposé about Destiny and all the development problems that led to that game being in the state it was. Hopefully we can get an actual investigative piece similar to that about Arkham Knight from some video game publication, since none of the companies involved with it want to tell the consumers that paid good money for the product what went wrong.

Yeah, while I assume there was no way of salvaging it, I was interested in the conversation before it cut Lang off mid-description.

I can not begin to even think why someone would name their child after a video game character. Do people not realize that this person they are naming is going to have to explain for the rest of their life (assuming they don't get it changed) "Yes my name comes from that video game that was before our time and has no meaning at all to us, yes I realize how incredibly dumb it is". If you are going to do it at least pick a name they can fly under the radar with or make it their middle name. Do you want to be that person who has to explain to their kid why it is you named them after a fictional video game character?

I had the misfortune in elementary school during the height of the Pokemon craze of sharing the same first name as a character in the show and people were always bringing it up. It sucked but at least my parents did not purposely set me up for that.

Maybe I'm weird but I've always felt like names are something special that should have meaning behind them and naming your kid after a game you enjoyed does not exactly seem special enough to me.

He was right; good business partners don't throw each other under the bus and any real answer we could get from him ain't worth ensuring Iron Galaxy never gets a partnership again. Black Ops 3 multiplayer is better than Advanced Warfare multiplayer. The abrupt dodging needs a more open level design and it just doesn't fit in the CoD core balance. The limted wallrunning and jetpack is much more balanced within CoD and Treyarch is also much better at balancing their game in general too. Advanced Warfare has no weapon balancing at all even after patching (too many useless weapons and a few weapons like ASM1 and BAL to rule them all) and a lot of good weapons are gated behind the supply drops as hard to get variants. AW is fun, but BO3 is more fun and better.

And Call of Duty 4 multiplayer is bad, boring and now horribly outdated. (Come at me)

Man I liked IG's port of Third Strike.

Destiny sold more on the Xbox One because MS ran a massive program to get a physical game of the customers choice for free with the purchase of a console bundle. They're trying hard to do the same with Battlefront complete with cutesy twitter campaigns and paid shills (that these forums haven't been tainted by, which is a breath of fresh air).

I really liked Lang's perspective on the e-sports thing. Glad to have a different opinion voiced.

R-Type Dimensions is close to a perfect port of the arcade games, with optional updated graphics. Great game. Also Brad gave it a 4/5.
