I'd really dig watching videos of the GB & GBeast podcasts. I'm not advocating anything fancy or overly technical -it could be a single static cam- or anything requiring additional camera operators. Just the duders, sitting at their roundtable, with mics, the portable sound mixer, and a camera.

TL; DR: My eyes should have as much fun as my ears.

You know, the voiceclip that plays when you sub would be the best coming out of bathroom encouragement.

Any time they ever discuss a PC/Console release, is anyone actually surprised when they dump on the technical aspects of the console versions? It's the same old refrain every time- looks good on PC, console versions suffer frame rate issues, etc etc etc.

NIce its a total combo of bombs. SO does this mean GOTY war is on the way?

And that's why it doesn't bear repeating EVERY TIME. Surely, no one, by now, expects the console versions to compare to the PC version. Nor does it change the fact that some of us are still perfectly happy playing the console version.

@dougfunk15: ... yet the consoles market outpaces the PC heavily in gaming. I know, I know its the same old shit since the PS 1 days and I doubt its going to end any time soon. Problem with the PC market is that they deal in extremes so the concept of a middle ground does not make sense. As far as I know when it comes to console its not always about power but licensing.

I'm only three and a half minutes in and it's already the most glorious thing...

My ears are about to be so happy.

@dedbeet: But the console versions of JC3 have such substantial framerate problems that it would be really weird not to talk about it. You might be happy with console versions of games, I am too most of the time, but it's still relevant to talk about. Especially when the console version dips way below 30fps at times.

Why are they saying the building stuff in fallout does nothing? It gives you resources, caps and experience. Those are the things you get...I'm confused.

( Now that I think about it, they never tell you that you can get resources and caps and those appear announced in your workshop. It makes sense that it looks like it does nothing. Plus you get a good amount of exp with the more advanced stuff and I can see most people never getting there with that system.)

@dedbeet: And Brad is prone to hyperbole when it comes to this stuff (Far Cry 3 is neigh unplayable on console).

The granular obsession with framerates and resolution and "OMG what does Digital Foundry say?" is one of the worst things in gaming right now to me. I just. Don't. Fucking. Care.

@the_spaz_rises@dedbeet@amyggen I just don't get how it's even a point of discussion anymore. Of course these huge games are going to run better on PC's, it doesn't even need to be said. No one on console should even expect it to be on par with PC. As long as the "rough" framerate and technical hiccups aren't gamebreaking, I don't think they need to be exaggerated so much in commentary. It kind of comes with the territory of a lesser powered console.
