Drew saying "And it's not a piece of garbage" about Last Guardian is pretty funny since that's all I've been thinking since rage quitting that game today. Worst game I played this year and one of the most disappointing games of all time, very similar to my feelings on FF13 -- potential but awful design souring everything good about it. Ico controls better, has better puzzles, more environmental variety and so much more and it's from 2001. It just blows my mind how bad Last Guardian is, how poorly it runs, how terribly it controls, how simple the puzzles, how unbelievably annoying enemies are, how repetitive the environment and gameplay is etc. etc.

Unlike the GB crew I was never expecting this game to be a dud. I thought it was at least going to be good. Thinking of giving up on it, watching the ending and getting back to FFXV (who would have guessed that would be the long-delayed game that delivered on its promise?)

In case anyone is wondering what it's like in Minnesota right now it's a balmy 5 degrees. Don't worry though! We have 8 inches of snow coming Friday followed by -20 degrees on Saturday.

I'll miss Dan for the three extra days it'll take till I hear Dan in audio form again.

Giant Bomb needs to move to Minneapolis. Get away from California Jeff. I know its your home and all, but you would be welcomed with open arms here. People have more sense here and you likely will not ever witness someone pissing or crapping on the streets like a damn animal, especially during the winter months. DO IT.

it got lost in the live chat but people who haven't given heroes of the storm a chance are missing out on a really good solid game. it seems DOTA is following the same formula with the new talent system and taking away a lot of the micro management which makes heroes of the storm a lot more fun for a very polished quick game. it has become a good game to just play for short bursts of time and the free to play rotation gives you a lot of different characters to play around with not requiring you to have to actually spend money on it. i dont know if I would ever play DOTA just based on the terrible community whereas heroes of the storm you can mute chat with a hotkey right before a match starts which is the best hotkey.

As a Minnesotan, I will agree that:

1) It's cold as hell here. The high temperature today is in the low single digits.

2) We feel a strange sense of pride in living here. I definitely feel it. The Twin Cities are great, and greater Minnesota is amazing for vacations. Suck it the rest of the US.

3) Wisconsin sucks.

Playing through Hitman levels with the intention of getting mastery points is fine if you aren't reloading saves to fill a bunch of different challenges. Like, if you drop the light rig on Victor Novikov, don't reload the save so that you can get the challenge for shooting him in the head while he's on the runway, just leave it and get mastery points for another map
