Happy New Year with a Will Smith podcast. A great start but I'm starting to want a time stamp for anytime they talk about PUBG just so I can skip them.

At times it feels like they give just a nod or maybe two sentences to most games but then spend half an hour talking about PUBG. It feels disheartening sometimes, but that's probably just me.

I still think it’s weird how they keep talking about HQ like it’s the biggest thing ever, comparing it to Pokemon GO, even though I actually never heard people mention it besides here on Giant Bomb (and by a DJ I follow who hosted it once).

This is definitely one of those things that’s just happening in their circle.

Great start to a new year. Could there maybe a resolution to not talk about PUBG for at least 6 months? I'll listen to talk about almost anything else at this point over another half hour discussion about that game.

the building and destructible environments are what make fortnite BR alot more fun to play than PUBG to me.

It's interesting how this divides people, because I do not like the building aspect at all in Fortnite. Destructive environments is cool.

Fortnite fans are in denial. They only like the game because they can't play pubg. All my friends on PS4 think its amazing becuase they've yet to experience pubg.

It definitely isn't just you. The recent notifications that Jeff was streaming on Twitch were a massive let down when it was just Will playing more PUBG.

It's been fascinating watching many of my friends get into Fortnite - often people who I would never have pinned down as likely to be drawn to the Battle Royale format.

Even my housemate - who mostly plays FIFA, Battlefront, and GTA, plus one or two other games he'll pick out per year - has gotten really into it, both solo and in duos. There's clearly something compelling to that format, it really goes to emphasise why PUBG hit so big in 2017.

Does the mid camera seem washed-out? I might just need an eye doctor.
