I'm not too familar with things in Animal Crossing. Why do those droid things kind of look like the cacti from Final Fantasy?

I think most of you guys here will enjoy this game if you've skipped wild world and city folk. The game is much more accessable now and you can switch your tools on the fly via the dpad unlike previous games. Also you can screencap your game by pressing L and R at the same time. Shame the gb crew didn't cover that one up but it's no biggie since it's the new little things you learn along the way by talking to your animal friends.

so...How come Nintendo continues to get free passes from people every gen/few years when they release the exact same game as the previous time yet other devs and publishers get bashed and destroyed for it?

Of all the games that could have inspired 'Nam style flashbacks for the crew; Animal Crossing is the last one I would have though of.

This might be the game that gets me to buy a 3DS. Haven't played an Animal Crossing game since the Gamecube. I was embarrassingly addicted to it for months.

I have had similar problems describing the appeal of the Animal Crossing franchise to friends. Someone on Reddit called it a "virtual bonsai tree," which is easily the best description I've heard.
