A co-op-oriented shooter, from a b-grade franchise, in a southwest setting, with a drug cartel playing the villains? What could possibly go wrong?

I actually liked the second Army of Two, this seems like a step in the wrong direction.

Seems like there have been a bunch of broken videos on GB's youtube account recently, this one cuts off 29 minutes in, just as they are about to start an co-op game.

@fisk0: I noticed people have issues with longer videos on youtube in general, being specific I mean those Gopher videos for skyrim playthrough stuff, which top out past 40 mins I think. Seems like it's a rare issue for individuals and based on youtube specifically. I'd check that out first.

Oh yeah, this game exists. Sorry, was too busy playing Bioshock infinite to notice.

Haven't seen any issues with that on Giant Bomb's account until a week or two ago, and they've had some videos well over an hour long previously. The Soda Drinker Pro video in particular was only 6 minutes long, but still cut off after 3 minutes on Youtube.

Why does this game even exist

I bet this game is fine.

It's so depressing the way the super obvious plot is revealed and is then commented on by the characters themselves. To me it just confirms that this is very much a 'paying the bills' project that nobody cared to get creative with.

Ken Levine is freaking out obviously at the same day release of his game and this.

Did a new Deer Hunter come out, too?

I would totally buy that on a steam sale. If it was on PC...

I'm just annoyed at EA for releasing this game on Bioshock week. What a dumb fucking thing to do, it's a lot easier to scorn this games existence in that game's shadow.

These games have never been aggressively bad, in fact the second game had a good premise that was fucked up by terrible terrible story telling with an insulting ending (the DLC padded out an abrupt story turn at least)

This game is ok, it has a handful of cool moments and some good dialogue but it does feel like a floundering fish right now...It will probably be the last one, EA will most likely kill it for good, hell they've been doing that already.

It's hilarious that they happened to show that "plot twist."

I love that they haven't even bothered to slap a spoiler warning on the video because, hey, who cares?

Just sad thinking that there's 3 of them. Game would be great with a Jeff/Ryan commentary through the whole thing as the story/dialogue needs something to elevate it beyond being very average from the looks of it. First one seemed to have a bit more definition to it but after seeing this, seems like someone revisiting the same story with less there.

I liked the first one because of the stupid-ass Wu Tang Clan comments and the giant, armored, terrorists. if you get that caught up on the fist-bumps and dudebro stuff, you need to lighten up.

I find it incredibly disconcerting that they get told off for not checking that their teammate was actually dead, which turned him into a villain. Then they don't go back to check if that guy that got shot was dead.

I mean, it's not like there's a chance he's alive. I'm not saying that. But after the epiphany that they created their enemy by not checking he was actually dead, I would think they'd be ever so slightly more vigilant about that. Even if the dude was capped point blank in the head. It doesn't hurt to check, guys...! And you just discovered it does hurt to not check...

Finally. A game where you can shoot guys in the desert...

Yes, because everything begins and ends with BioShock 3. Eff off. EA messed up with Syndicate, leaving it to die a silent death among their obnoxious and relentless advertising campaign for Mass Effect 3. Hey, I'd argue Syndicate is a much better game than a messed up Mass Effect thing, but whatever. Opinions!

This is another Army of Two game, which will most likely be bought and played by people who've bought and liked previous Army of Two games (among the dozens). I'm not sure why it matters when it's released, I have at least seen advertising for it, which is more than could be said for Syndicate (a game which a lot of people still wrongly assume is just another generic shooter... um, Army of Two 3 says hi). My point is, obvious numbered sequels and franchise cash-ins have a lot less to worry about than obscure reboots.

@sooty: Ahh I heard it called that at the end of the video and I just assumed since i'm not buying it anyways.... i've blown out my game budget for the next couple months and my heart belongs to Syndicate for favorite shooter for awhile.

Wow, they made a whole game where you play as the faceless AI morons that follow the important (usually) player controlled characters around. I really don't understand how they could be so determined to make more of these games and yet can't do anything but fuck it up in truly impressive ways.
