Quick Look: Dead To Rights: Retribution

I swear that everytime that Jeff and Ryan do a quick look, Jeff starts by saying "Alright Ryan"

Love how the pre-order bonus turns off achievements. Kinda defeats the purpose of the pre-order. Oh well, this will be a fun distraction after it hits the bargain bin.

Jeff is playing this game more like a shooter, than a third person dogger. Which is what it is. Needs more Shadow attacking, more using Shadow to retrieve guns, more punching.

Jeff sounds bored and understandably so, because the game looks boring and generic.

The music ain't bad.

Doesn't look too bad, maybe I'll check it out in a few months when the price drops. Looks like it'd be a good buy for about 20 bucks.

Actually, I'm playing the game and REALLY enjoying it. The shooting and melee feel really satisfying... I'm thinking about writing a review because this is the first time I don't see the points that the GB team are trying to make, and this QL is definitely not representing the game properly in my opinion. 
 
It's a fresh change from other third person shooters, because of the scarce ammunition and you need to conserve bullets... (BTW, you can command Shadow to fetch you a weapon)... 
 Just my opinion though...

Teach the dog how to shoot a gun and get rid of jack and then you got a game.

Think that I'm in the same mentality as Vinny & others where you are expecting Jack to pull out a rubber ball (like in Fable 2) for that animation sequence. That or a button for dog leg humping.

Man, I've never heard Jeff sound this bored. Not just for a quick look but just ever. Don't blame him necessarily. I think the game might be too long for the base of gameplay that it drives on. I'm on the 4th or 5th level I think and I'm already saying "ehhhh". Good thing I got it from Gamefly. Would have been disappointed to the say the very least.

The questions stays unanswered: hump mechanic? Shadow dawg tea bagging Dudes? 
 
I myself miss crotch-shots as acknowledged kill achievements in games in general. I often shoot between the legs instead the head. Yet headshot is well established as a skillful frag, but crotch-shots are still not.

It would be cool if the dog levels were in black and white.

Namco, What have you done with this franchise? The first two were crap and this hardly qualifies as a next-gen game.

Game looks pretty fun. The dog animations are surprisingly fluid compared to the rest of the game.

hmm...  i recall i used to really liked the very first Dead to Rights...  this doesn't look that good tho...  =\

Dog sequence did look pretty cool though, mean-ass people-eating dog.

Never liked the series and this quick look isn't changing my mind.

Man, Shadow is so awesome.

This game, redefining mediocre all over the place.

It doesn't look bad, but it also doesn't look like it brings anything to the oversaturated shooter market that isn't already done elsewhere.
