Reminds me a lot of the old Oddworld games. Shame that it's a Live exclusive, this is a game well within my interests but sadly I just sold my Xbox.

It's a shame this game looks like it doesn't have any depth to it at all. A character progression system plus Metroidvania level design would have made this a must buy.

I do actually like the look of this. Yeah more zombies, but it does have a Shadow Complex-esque vibe to it. Platforming seems decent and it does seem like it's best mainly to avoid the zombies rather than fight them.

P.S. Like the off-brand Exxon Gas they've got: Exxen.

Main guy sounds like Gemini Rue guy. Same voice actor maybe?

Brad, don't be freaked out by the reels rotating at different speeds. They HAVE to. The tape speed on both reels has to be the same, so whichever reel has less tape on it than the other moves faster to keep up.

Don't you ever watch the cassette when you're playing hot new jams on your Walkman? >_>

I really dislike the voice actor in this, and the pacing seems a bit slow for me. I'll wait until reviews start hitting before I consider picking this up.

That character's voice reminds me of another video game character but I can't quite place it.

Seams like it could be great. I do feel that the darkness could use more variances with the shades of black rather then pure black. To make it easier to distinguish objects and background. I do feel like it rely on the arrows too much to safely navigate the world as some parts look inaccessible at first glance. I also hope it takes advantage of it's platforming elemnts to create some fun game play.

Vinny had me in tears with You Got the Touch! Goddamn. This video just makes me want a Shadow Complex 2 so much! Make that happen.

Man, this looks super cool. The voice acting could be better, and the main character constantly saying "My friends" bothered me, but the atmosphere and gameplay looks good to me. Also, I'm really digging the little things like the diary.

The voice actor is trying way too hard to sound like David Hayter's Solid Snake. Just saying.

@rmanthorp: SC2 does really need to happen. Those first 2 years of SoA were so good and I don't feel the quality has been matched since. Sure we've had Bastion and Limbo but taken as a whole, definitely a lot weaker. Especially as MS insist in putting Kinect games in there. No matter how good they could be, I don't own a Kinect and probably never will so they're of no interest to me.

Brad says "ombient" instead of "ambient", trying to sound all fancy and posh.

Limbo has ruined this visual style for me, as this automatically looks boring as hell. I hope to be proved wrong when I purchase this game in a Steam sale next year.

Probably the most tempting XBLA title in a long while. That said, is there any word on a PC version? The jaggies make my graphics whoring ways cry out in pain.

I don't know how many Hope there are, but Hitman Absolution has a whole level on it!

I just wish there was a website that gave game synopsis, because I don't always want to play them but am very intrigued by the story and world.

I know there's Wikipedia, but it doesn't always have all the details. Same with the wiki pages here.

More in presentation-sense than design-sense, this is not a Metroidvania but more in relation to cinematic platformers.

My interest for this game has increased tenfold. With a generic name like Deadlight, I thought this was a first person shooter.

I managed to get a review copy of this game for a blog I write for. I won't shove my opinion down anyone's throat here but anyone who is interested in this game from a story perspective really shouldn't bother with this game. The ending alone is absolutely horrid.

Wish I had an Xbox :/

Can't wait for Wednesday. Looks like this'll be the only SOA game I buy.

I was stoked to get it for $10 but when they said $15 for some reason my inner scrooge starting screaming his head off.

Thee number of you kids too young to know any historical predecessors, even when they are mentioned in the QL!, disappoints me.

And yeah, the Rorschach motif, serial killer IDs, and CG trailer all make me worry that this is another Feel Bad action game, with the ending being that this is all your psychotic break and you've killed countless living humans.

Didn't really think this looked that awesome.

If this quick look is too long they will show the whole game!

Besides "The Walking Dead"(by Telltale) this is the first true zombie game to be released. I cannot wait!

Man, the graphics in this game are fantastic. The art style is amazing. However, the gameplay merely looks decent and it seems really short (less than three hours?). I don't know if it's worth $15.

On a semi-related note, The Walking Dead Episode 2: Starved For Help is amazing. Brad and Vinny mention it a bit in this Quick Look. Best $10 ($5 per episode) I've ever spent on a game so far. Buy it if you haven't already.
