Same here. The RTS aspects aren't particularly deep, but I've found the campaign really enjoyable.

I'd read a book about jetpack dragons, skeletons wearing wigs, and steampunk Elves; but have no interest in playing a game about it.

The pseudo-political stuff looks fun though.

It's a spinoff from an RPG series, they're also working on an RPG right now (Divinity: Original Sin, I think) so you could play that instead.

I have enjoyed my time with this game. The characters and general aesthetic are fun, and combat is acceptable. 40 dollars is probably a little high for how much I am enjoying it, but for say 20 it's a no brainer.

Sea of Sorrows, man had a flash of hope for Ravenloft there.

The fact that it took 16 minutes and 47 seconds for the dragon to finally show up does not make me want to buy this game.

The Developers' Opinions About Political Issues: The Game.

I think the political aspects are a bit too gamey for my taste (despite the crazy and fun characters they've done a really good job with). As far as the game's reception, it's getting scores between 60's and 80's but mostly in the 70 range so yeah, nothing crazy good but not bad either.

I'm glad someone took the Starcraft II ship talking element and made it fun in their own way.

I wish I could skip the actual RTS combat like I do in Total War games and just focus on building up the realm doing the weird social interaction stuff.
