I just saw Alexa play this on GameSpot live, time to see another perspective.

The voice actors on this sound a lot like the cast from Resonance of Fate.

Can't wait to play a JRPG road trip.

It's funny cause Jason kinda sounds like the guy he's mocking.

I do think the dialogue is pretty funky and odd in spots. I'd imagine it's the last thing on their minds though. Hopefully it gets polished as the game progresses.

I like Prompto's fighting animations though. I think he's cool. Too bad you can't play as anyone aside from Noctis. Maybe a year or two ago it seemed like you could, but not anymore.

FF8 had "drivable" cars in the overworld.

Dragon Quest VIII had FF XII demo

I am excited for this.

Type-0 looks alright too.

I am so ready to see this in action.

The title for this video is wrong. Its an Unfinished but it says Quick Look.

Too many fancy hairs and gothic clothings but it has a potential for interesting. Just give a middle of age bald man OK? Thank you.

Man i wish Brad wasn't the one playing this. Jason would of been a much better fit for it.

Really bad voice acting seems to be a Square problem rather than a JRPG problem. The Western VO for Atlus' games is pretty solid.

Boy brad can not stop fucking with the camera. I played this demo yesterday and I have never had problem with the camera or "quick" enemies. Stop fucking with the camera brad and use wrap strike. The fps drops are atrocious tho, they get a pass on that for now because it is a demo.

I still can't take these character designs seriously. They look like they just arrived from a modelling shoot.

Some of it looks kinda good. But those character designs *shudder* ... I don't think I will be able to stomach them. I just can't put myself into the shoes of a metrosexual J-Pop boyband.

All these FF in jokes they're making at the start go completely over my head. It's so weird trying to understand why FF is a thing when you're younger than the franchise itself.

EDIT: Why does the screen keep vignetting so hard? It makes it nearly impossible to see, especially when they entered the Behemoth den and it went blurry as well.

@friendlypossum: Oh yeah, for sure. The character design is also something I can't get behind. But the combat looks alright, and I really like the look of the game overall.

I mean, it looks okay-ish, but I don't see how this has been in development for nine years based on what's being shown here. It seems like a fairly standard action-oriented JRPG. That framerate is rough too, but I guess it's a demo.

The Jeff I love is back in this video. Bunch of sick and funny rips at final fantasy. Still has some positive things to say. Great stuff.

This game kinda looks awful on a graphical (aliasing levels are off the charts!) compared to the previews that were shown of this before and the game is running like shit.

I'm assuming and hoping it's because this is some kind of early demo?

This is the first FF since like 9 that I'm kind of excited about. I mean, the combat looks interesting enough if I just can handle the dialogue.

So... shouldn't this be an "Unfinished" since this game isn't coming out for over half a year?

Slight correction... Two years, not nine.

The project has been going for nine years. That includes starts and stops.

The frame-rate is terrible in places, having played it just now. It looks incredible in places too though.

Note how good the cinematagraphy is despite the barrels of hair gel.

This is Jun Akiyama's work, and half the reason this could be decent.

Edit: this game seems to do the Tales of Xillia thing where the enemies are on the PC 90% of the time. Glad he ain't a caster! :P

Brave Fencer Musashi came with an FF8 demo!

rough going for brad in this QL... I think it affected their opinions negatively.

Reminder: We're getting that big city tech demo later on (or Japan is?) where the courtyard square with stairs showdown takes place, as a tech demo.

Reminder 2: This is indeed an old stable and specialized build put out for this, with things made especially for the demo. Considering Type-0, let's pray they listen and improve this camera at least.

Reminder 4: Game audio in the last few QL videos has been incredibly-ass low, lower than it should be. Could you pump it up and monitor it to where it's "safe" or get some slight ducking compression going?

@mrsmiley: Nope, this demo is its own thing since they decided to give it its own separate title. This is a QL of Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscgvhgsdvfsd, not of Final Fantasy XV.

@subliminalkitteh: He seemed to do alright to me, didn't see any place in the QL with big struggles. And they ended up being pretty positive on the things that isn't the character design of the 4 main dudes and the VO, which I think is pretty fair.

How much of the combat issues are legitimate, and how much are inexperience + Brad being Brad?
