Is it just me or do the enemies look like dr rockso?

I need to finish this game. It's pretty fucking difficult (so don't feel bad @Brad) , especially if you're trying to get a good time on each level. It's a clever, fun mechanic, though, I'd recommend people check out the game if they have a 3DS.

After the water level, it becomes a shmup (with the screen switching still) for a couple levels, then a wind world, and then a lava world, where if you stay on the top screen too long, you will overheat and die.

You know what would be refreshing? A Jeff and Vinny eShop quick look. I get that Brad and Patrick are the main 3DS proponents, but I think it gets a little tedious that the same people do the same kind of quick looks.

Haven't yet watched the quick look, but i can already say from playing through a portion of this game that it gets really difficult. So we'll see how well this turns out haha

I checked online and saw that its $12. That seems a lil steep for what this game is offering. Playing this game on a bouncy bus sounds like the worse idea ever. I end up getting sick in like 5 minutes of play. Seems like you can get the same type of enjoyment from this as another title like Outland. At least I think Outland had you switching different polarity on the fly. Been awhile since I played that. Outland is a great game...

Chronos Twins came out in the US. I think the one big advantage this game has, is that you are always invulnerable on one screen, so that you only need to look at one screen at once. That wasn't the case with Chronos Twins, if I remember correctly, which made it even more brutally hard, almost to an impossible level.

$12 for this is a bit steep, but I'll probably bite anyway. It's definitely up my alley, and I'm sure I'd get my $12 worth of enjoyment out of it, so for me at least, I don't see much problem with the price since I'm essentially getting what I want out of it.

I'd say the fact that you're constantly switching your eyes from the top to the bottom and back up is why there's no 3D. I'd imagine it would fuck up your eyes after a short time playing.

Watching this and Taken 2 at the same time... It's not a very engaging movie... and it's shorter than an episode of Sherlock.

Looks cool, but also broke my god damn mind there. I started getting used to everything by the end of the quick look but it still caught me off guard sometimes. @Brad The part where you excitedly ran off the edge to get away from the laser wall was both hilarious and completely understandable, as I was trying to do the exact same thing in my mind haha.

Also yes, Rochard is a totally awesome game. I haven't beaten it, but I played a decent amount and had an incredible amount of fun. Hope it shows up on PS+ at some point!

And after that ANTI GRAVITY. But it remains totally balls hard no matter where you are. One of the last Anti-Grav levels was so ridiculously hard it was almost comical.

I appreciate what that game was trying to do, but it didn't help that neither the platforming nor the match-three-ing were particularly good. So, it pretty much just ended up as a double dose of mediocrity =\

After trying to explain games some some people who haven't played them while playing them, I can appreciate Brad or anyone on the GB team of having it be a bit of a problem on playing games while explaining/talking at the same time.

I almost thought this game was going to be the anti-brad in that he did better the less he focused, seems tricky either way though.

Really short quick looks today...

This game really upsets my eyes. I'm not a fan. I mean, I agree with Patrick that it is a neat concept. I just don't think it was implemented well. It's really jarring to look at.

There is no way I could keep up with this game. I wouldn't feel too bad about not being great at it, Brad.

I think it's the most expensive eShop download I've seen so far (barring the digital downloads of full-price retail games). I'm guessing it's only that expensive because, like they mentioned, the game has been through a long, tumultuous dev cycle. Probably trying to recoup some costs. Help 'em out, eh?

Question for the people that play it: Later in the game, are there ever enemies that can hit your ghost form, causing you to have to watch out on both screens? If so I'm sold. That would be an amazing idea. Platform on one screen while dodging things on the other.

This game really needs to be easier on the eyes.  Mighty Switch Force is a good example of a game similar to this, that's made ten times better by being looking and sounding good.

Man Rochard was a surprisingly neat game, but I only played the demo of it. Putting it on my Steam wishlist now.

Not quicker than Derrick the Deathfin... I don't mind quick quick looks.

This reminds me of Outland in a way, but the 2 screens makes it a bit hard to follow.

I appreciate the quicker quick looks for games that don't really warrant longer looks.

8 dollars for derick the deathfin is a good deal, but 10 for fractured souls is pushing it?

not enough shitty retro graphics or cutesy arts and crafts motif for you patrick?

A straight run of this game is probably about 3 hours, and the head-fuck quotient just continues to ramp up.

In later worlds, the top screen is a blizzard world complete with wind that pushes you around, a lava world, where you take heat damage just for being up there... and then a reverse gravity world where up is down and down is up and you walk on the ceiling. There's also stages where you need to outrun a shockwave or keep up with a moving platform.

It's fucking nuts, but very satisfying.

This game is......okay. Not $12 okay, but I got it anyway. Maybe I'll keep playing it and see if it gets better.

@patrickklepek In case you haven't seen, it's a $12 game. Like Shantae, but not as good. Although it was intended to be a full-retail game originally on the DS, not a DSi download.
