This game is pretty terrible.

Developed in Iran?  Should you guys even legally have this with the government sanctions?

You know, for a game using "mostly free software", it really doesn't look that bad. There's also some pretty smooth animations in here, too.

So it's budget God of War?  Interesting.

Garshasp needs some more L.A. Noireshasp in his faceshasp.

Isn't this game developed in Iran or Iraq? I remember hearing that it was developed somewhere like that.

Looks great considering the mostly free tech used. Wouldn't play it though, not my cup of tea.

Hilariously low-rent. It's understandable when you consider how it was made, but I would still never want to play it. Makes for a great quick look though!

So a "god of war" clone is something where you press nothing but x and win.

Vinny was right, it's $20 on Steam.

Ha, I remember reading about this in a issue of Game Informer a few months back. Interesting article actually about the difficulty of game development in Iran.

No not definitely Ryan. The game works perfectly fine with a mouse and keyboard.

Hey, I like the puzzles in God of War!  Makes them more than just an action game and often feature really cool set design.

Cool, Vinny. he most always makes up for a mediocre game. I just like hearing the guy anyways, from times past in other videos.

I don't have any interest in this game, beyond the fact it is Persian rather than Greek. The interest is historical and any relevant allusion to Persian mythology, sure the hell not for contemporary loyalties. But historically again, Persia was a Force and influence we do not hear of as much as Greek, yet they threatened the grecian City-states a few times, And of course it is one of the geographical areas for the dawn of civilized(agriculture and some hierarchical  system) man.

This game is very underwhelming in some ways, such as in the health and magic absorption effects, and in how he fights. Though I understand what they maybe wanted to tone down, I think they did it too much as a GOW clone. And yes, that camera...

Garshasp lost a bet at Slipnot concert & had to shave his eyebrows off. Who needs naked women in a game when you have nu-metal & Garshasp. Loved the bit with the long as hell wall.

Think that even though this game seems to be decent & not horribly broken (just not that much fun either from the look of it), I'd rather get the new Steel Storm game that showed up on steam for $10 than this.

Edit: they should use the exploding title card more in this game (after dying, cutting to it to save on showing the quick time animation, hitting a jar), not all the time mind you but more often.

Damn. I totally fell to pieces when the video played without the sound. Funny stuff. Why was this game made? Seems a bizarre idea to make a GOW clone knowing that it has no chance of being no where close as well produced. Usually the idea is that these small companies/guys do games that the bigger companies can't or won't do because they obviously can't compete on the same level.

 I'm not trying to belittle the work done or the difficulty of making games in a country like Iran, and I congratulate the developers on their efforts. However when dealing with those constraints,  trying to copy the scope of a big-budget title and releasing it in major markets may not have been the best idea. In recent years we've seen many "low-budget" titles that succeed on the strength of a few well-realized original ideas, while those that knock off concepts more at home in AAA release tend to fall by the wayside. Making quality small-budget games is an art that is often more about design skill than coding skill.
