If the small time developers want my money to execute on their ideas faster and more efficiently maybe they should prove to me that they actually have good ideas first.

I don't have any interest in this game, beyond the fact it is Persian rather than Greek. The interest is historical and any relevant allusion to Persian mythology, sure the hell not for contemporary loyalties. But historically again, Persia was a Force and influence we do not hear of as much as Greek, yet they threatened the grecian City-states a few times, And of course it is one of the geographical areas for the dawn of civilized(agriculture and some hierarchical  system) man.

Now I just want to play more God of War 3.

I'm all for supporting independent and aspiring game developers, but they have to make good products first.  Making something out of nothing is admirable and all but poop is poop.

A couple of work colleagues decided it would be a good idea to 'gift' me a mass of low budget games on steam last month, for my birthday. This was one of them, I haven't tried it yet though.

I couldn't agree with you more. None of the staff have any idea how hard it is to live there, yet alone make a decent game. I am Iranian myself, and I am speaking from experience. By supporting this title, no matter how horrible it is, you're supporting the game industry of a whole country.

It was a choice of words. The game works perfectly with a mouse and keyboard means the exact same thing. It actually works better since, as you can see in the video, he had no idea what half the buttons did most of the time because they were mapped for a mouse and keyboard not a controller.

Play the game however you like, but it just seems silly to me when people dismiss something without even trying it out of ignorance. I played this game with both a PS3 controller and a KBM, and the KBM was much easier to use and felt much more natural.

I didn't say you should buy it out of pity or something ! I just said if you had some sort of idea how life is here you'd be amazed how kinda impossible it must have been for them to even make this project work. Even though it kinda sucks! .

Ew, what a disgusting knockoff.  Also, the sense of scale in this game is soooo broken.  The town at around twelve minutes looks like something made by Fisher-Price.

EDIT:  Also, all of the defenders of this game are hilarious.

I wonder why I'm less tolerant of God of War clones than I am of other game type clones (torchlight comes to mind). I have a hard time understanding how this could be fun if you've already burned yourself out on the 5 or 6 God of War games that have been released, or at least the 3 that were released that you probably played.

I'm 5000% certain that if the guys had done their research and had an attitude of "This was done in poor conditions with free software by a small team, so I understand these faults" in the video, the comments would have 85% less people shitting on this game.
