Quick Look: Hitman

I would watch Dan and Brad play through some Hitman games. Please make this a series!!!!!

Question. Brad keeps saying this release is one map, but does that mean it's only one mission (besides the prologue) too? I like Hitman but I've never been into replaying the missions over and over so if that's the case this is definitely a no-go for me.

I liked hitman absolution's story.

Also, the player made assassinations were great in Absolution.

Brad walking the catwalk had me dying with laughter. This was fun.

This map is gorgeous and so detailed. I will play it over and over.

This seems well worth the money they are asking for. If they are going to be releasing a full package, I saw no problem with this model.

WHAT IF

They made a Hitman game where the WHOLE thing was a "practice" or simulation for the real thing.
Basically Metal Gear VR: THE GAME.

I'd buy it.

@windir2112: you might not like this then. There's one main story mission in the map and that's it really. however there's different missions you can do on the map from the contracts mode

This was a great quick look, they need to do a series centered around this game.

A series where Brad and Dan take turns playing Hitman levels in their own way would be great.

I really like the "opportunity" stuff and objective indicators as an optional thing. Makes the game much more playable and fun and allows me to actually see all this cool stuff I'd usually miss and not bother with.

Also, the benefit of haivng a complicated level editor with "AI paths" is that skilled fans can actually make some awesome and intricate stuff more in line with the game itself.

Count me in on making this a feature! Super entertaining!

I love that Dan's reference for fashion catwalks is Alessandra Ambrosio. It tells a lot about him :D

@paulrs90: I think they said they're going to be releasing other targets for this map before the other maps are released. Maybe I misunderstood but I think there's going to be other targets within this map so other missions as well on this map.

Just noticed this, the sushi box in the middle of the kitchen area behind the bar in the fashion show area says Mini, and is in the same font as Eidos' underrated gem of last generation, Mini Ninjas. Cute nod.

Dan and Brad make surprisingly entertaining hapless assassins, haha.

I am with you and I did exactly this. As a big Hitman fan who was pretty down on Hitman: Absolution, I went with the started pack for this game. After playing through the tutorial + the fashion mission, I bought the full pack. I am really looking forward to there being a new mission every month or so.

Hey @brad and @danryckert the game doesn't make it very clear but Rat Poison is not deadly. It makes people run to the toilet (that's where Dhalia was going). So, if you want to drown somebody....

@nonesun: I feel the same way about the opportunities. In the older Hitman games, I spent most of my time looking for "the path" through the level, and stuck to it rigidly once I found a way through. In this one, knowing I have a way to complete the mission gives me a sense of freedom - I can complete this now, but maybe there is something interesting if I investigate these side-rooms on the way there.

Blood Money probably still has the best implemented achievement set of all time.

Blood Money was masterclass level/mechanic design pretty much top-to-bottom imo.

I loved Blood Money so much that it makes me wish I could call myself a "hardcore Hitman fan" but at the end of the day, despite enjoying others, Blood Money is the only entry that I'm a true "hardcore" fan of.

Is it possible to hook a video game up to yourself through an IV? Slow drip this game directly into my veins.

A Hitman series with Brad and Dan would be nice, but man, I would rather have Dan at the controls, because Brad being scared to really do anything, while at the same time doing unnecessary, random shit can be maddening to watch.

Man this game looks great and fixes everything Absolution did wrong , but MAN is there little content for what they ask. I'm not even talking about the episodes , i'm talking about the intro pack for 12 bucks. I played the tutorials , did the free play tutorial twice, played the main mission in paris twice , did 2 contract and some escalation mode and i've clocked a grand total of 3 hours played.. that's awful

I picked up a Full Experience code for $25 (look for people dumping their video card packin codes) and that seems fair. Little over $4 per "scenario". And Paris has been a lot of fun to do more than a few times.

Oh my goodness. @brad and @danryckert really should do a feature with Brad playing the old Hitman games. You two are the perfect team for this. One of my favorite Quick Looks in a long while.

It's kind of embarrassing how bad Brad is at obtaining any disguise without being spotted. It's kind of a miracle that the Helmut disguise ever worked, but at least Brad murdered like 3 guards before ever putting on the Helmut disguise so for once his cover wasn't immediately blown.

In a 2min mission where you kill the first guy you see and then exit right where you stand Brad and Dan got an 2/5 rating :)

Went back to Hitman when they reactivated the elusive targets and having a great time with them. Looking forward to Season 2.
