Quick Look: PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe

Why does Brad always handle the controller on quick looks?  
It always seems like a really bad idea...

Watching this not only did I realize that I had this game, I realized that I have NEVER played this.

I would love to play this on the go, yet my PSP analog nub always drifts. It makes this game and others near impossible to play.

This was quite painful to watch considering Brad had no clue what the dancing was used for and the use of wasting gems on towers that were nearly upgraded from dancing on them. Why not play the tutorial before the quick look to learn a little about the game before going in and trying to figure out what is going on.

Whew!!!  I just bought it in a store.  I usually check reviews first but it was only $10 so I thought, "What the heck".  Glad to see that my impulse didn't cost me.

Is there anything ryan plays on PS3, other then during quick looks and rushed reviews?

I really like Pixel Junk Monsters, I played the original PS3 version and I picked this up on PSP during the start of all the PSP Go downloadable stuff (though I didn't buy a Go). It was 20 bucks initially, so I'm a little bummed I didn't wait since I haven't played it all that much since then.

Was kind of bummed out Brad didn't know some of things going on in the game. I was actually wondering about them myself only to find that the Quick Looker was wondering as well. Much thanks to our fellow users though for answering them.

Good Quick Look. I was sad Brad did not know some basics. The online co-op play is awesome.

This QL is the reason why I wish I could send messages into the past while they were recording. So they dont look like fools.

Allow me a few words regarding the tired "PC gamer" debate going on yet again. 
 
In case y'all haven't noticed, we play the exact same games these days. There are practically no PC exclusive games anymore (aside from RTS, Indie and MMO), so please stop separating PC gamers from console gamers for Christ's sake, there is simply no point in doing so - aside from the pleasure of throwing the term "elitist" around willy-nilly as if it actually meant something. Likewise, there is nothing childish or "kid-like" about being a console gamer. Two sides of the same coin, really.
 
I like Giantbomb because there is no distinction at all. We are all just people enjoying the occasional video game experience. If one can't accept that and prefers the narrow-minded and outdated view of gamers as separate groups, you might as well go other websites that seem to endorse such lunacy, even among console gamers (the constant 360 vs. PS3 vs. Wii bickering is just as pointless).

Love PJM so good to see a QL of it, even if there was some lack of game mechanic knowledge prior to it.  Still one of the best TD games out there (yes, better than defense grid too) so good to see it getting some attention
